As Power of Attorney for my mother, here is my response:We engaged DQ Construction in April of 2016. Upon completion of the siding and roofing, we were told that awnings would be in within a couple weeks. Multiple attempts to communicate to the salesman and the owner of DQ Construction via phone, text messaging, and email were made throughout the month of June, only to be told that the awnings had been ordered. The business representatives stopped responding to my requests for updates related to delays. My mother's house was for sale at the time, an offer was received, and without any response from DQ Construction (and after one final attempt at communication from me to both the sales rep and owner near the end of July), we were obligated to pay 3500.00 out of pocket for another contractor to complete the awnings. The house has been sold and the new owner took possession over one month ago. We were told by the contractor that there was to be no out of pocket expense for my mother. Instead, it cost my mother 3500.00 to have the work completed. DQ Construction was paid in full for roof, siding, and awnings, except for a small portion of recoverable depreciation from the insurance company, which we were not able to recover.Required for resolution: $3500.00 from the contractor to reimburse us for out of pocket expenses due to the abandonment of this project. Will share details of quote if/when we receive communication from DQ Construction.

Company states the only thing they have left to do is put on the awnings, stating since they are custom made they have taken longer than what he planned.
