Daily Brothers Real Estate

My fiancé and I rented an apartment from a realty company called Kay Kay Realty based out of Scottsdale, AZ back in August of 2017. In April of 2018, we had to cut our lease short by 2 months due to unforeseen family issues. I was told to write a letter to the company detailing our situation in an attempt to have them waive the fees for the termination. In June of 2018, we received a letter from Kay Kay Realty with a bill attached. In this letter, it states to contact *** for billing to dispute the charges and/or make a payment plan. Both my fiancé and I called and left messages (I have the phone records to prove it) with no contact back. We never heard from them again. We figured they had looked into the situation and waived the fees. Little did we know the company was sold to Daily Brothers Real Estate. No one from this company contacted us about the bill. 10/28/2019 (a year and a half later), we received a letter in the mail from a collections agency saying the bill was now in collections, although we have not received any communication from this company prior to the collections letter.
