Haven't received my refund for canceled subscription
On January 1,2020 a salesman came up to me in my yard and asked if I would like to receive the Daily Commercial for thirteen weeks for $28.00 and if I did so and weren't satisfied they would refund my money so I gave him the money. I asked when I could expect a paper and he said two or three days. On the 15th of January I called the office and the lady said I had no account so I read the receipt to her. Two days later I got my first paper. The next week I got a bill for $32.82 . I called the lady said that I hadn't paid so again I read the receipt to her and told her I wanted my money back because I didn't like the way they do business. She said she would turn it over to the billing department for a refund and that was the last time I heard from them. After that I didn't get any more papers. I want my $28.00 back.

I need $28.00 refund. I paid for 13 weeks and only got it for 12 days. The sales person said if I wasn't satisfied I would get my money back not $18.00 but $28.00. It's not about the money it's bad business.

The Lady did contact me and left me a message. Did not answer because it was from a restricted number. I really appreciate your help with this matter. I hope I receive the checks.

I canceled my subscription six weeks ago I am still waiting for my refund I have made numerous phone calls with Promises of someone returning my phone call no one has called

Their Billing practices have become outrageous if not unethical and illegal. After nearly 40 years of subscription I am now done. I receive a bill in the past that quotes me a price for 26 weeks which I paid. I receive a bill currently that says my subscription was shortened to 18 weeks due to the fact that they gave me magazines in my newspaper that I never ordered and raised the cost by 45% for the next 26? weeks! They say the fine print on back says they can do that. Unfortunately for me, who trusted them, I have already paid for 2 subscriptions for only 4 months. I thought they were prebillng. This is untolerable.

News paper subscription renewal automatically included cost of "premium editions" subscription, even though the premium edition was not requested.
The Daily Commercial paper renewal notice includes information pertaining to the "Premium Edition" (identified on the back of the renewal as "Premium editions are published to provide additional information and value to our readers,"),but the reference (on the front or the back of the renewal form) does not clearly indicate that by renewing the regular subscription will automatically includes the "Premium Edition". The first page of the renewal notice includes a table to reflect the Subscription Terms (1 yrs, 6 months, 3 months) and the Total Cost for the subscription. The instructions above the table state, "Please choose your subscription term and enter the subscription price on the coupon below". The cost of the "Premium Edition" is not reflected on the terms/pricing table, which is misleading to consumers during the renewal process. If the intent of the Daily Commercial "Premium Editions" disclosure on the front and the back of the renewal notice is to inform consumers that they will automatically be enrolled for the "premium edition", than a) the subscription term/pricing table should also reflect the addition $12 charge per month and/or the decreased subscription "term" (i.e. 6 month subscription becomes a 4 month subscription), and b) the disclosures related to the "Premium Editions" should clearly state that consumers are automatically enrolled in the "Premium Editions", which changes the terms and the pricing of the product. The renewal notice is very misleading. I renewed my subscription in the fall for a six month subscription (10/30/18 - 4/30/18) and I had no idea my renewed subscription actually cost $12.00 more per month. I am now receiving calls from the Daily Commercial stating that my subscription expired 2/19/19 (due to the "Premium Edition) and that I owe additional amounts for my 6 month subscription. This is not right! Please investigate.

Desired Outcome

Please remove additional charges for the "Premium Edition" that I did not requests, nor was I aware of the additional charge. I received a call from the Daily Commercial on 4/5/2019 regarding the "outstanding balance" on my account. I was told that by renewing my subscription, I was automatically charged for the "premium edition", which ended by 6 month subscription 6 weeks early. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was told they were transferring me to a supervisor, and the call was dropped.
