Review: [redacted] of Dakota Drywall and Insulation Company assessed the problem of my freezing closets (overhanging) and assured me that he could solve the problem easily. I requested foam and insulation as my neighbor had done by this same company. The price was $350 at estimate but, if I wanted to pay "cash", it would be $150. The work was performed on September 5, 2013, but, no foam was put in. I continued to request foam and insulation and was told I didn't need it. Their process of insulation only did not work at all and presently I have the 2 closets taped shut due to 'freezing air' escaping into the rooms. I did not get a proper receipt until I called the owner, [redacted].Desired Settlement: I have requested my $160 back since I will have to hire another company to adequately solve the problem. Since I am retired I do need the money for this problem to be resolved. [redacted] told me 4 or 5 times he guaranteed the problem would be resolved.

hi [redacted] in regards to [redacted] complaint about cold closets. she has three issues going on (1) the floor which we installed fiberglass. (2) the upstairs walls which has little or no insulation. (3) the ceiling of the closets which also has little or no inulation.she asked about foam for $350 this was not an option due to the depth of the overhangs and limited space. I then told her I would personaly install fiberglass for $150 and collect check or cash the day I completed the work. me an [redacted] did the worh on sept 5th 2013the same way we have done thousands of homes in the past. we both have over 20 years of experience. she paid me $160 in cash and I gave her a hand written reciept which she did not like so she got an invoice from dakota insulation sent to her. the $160 was recorded and deposited in the bank. her floor is absolutly insulated the correct way and up to 2014 wi state code. if her closets are still cold it is a lack of insulation in upstairs walls and ceilings.dakota insulation has more than $160 spent in time and material on this job and has no intent to return any money. dakota insulation has done everything to help [redacted] and keep the cost to a minimum. any more questions I can answer you can call me cell# ###-###-#### [redacted]

As you know I recently filed a complaint against the Dakota Drywall and Insulation Company in good faith. They did work for me last Fall on the referral from my neighbor who had the exact same problem of overhanging closets that were freezing all winter long. She used this company and recommended them. I examined the work they did in her basement and liked it. The company used FOAM and INSULATION in her basement under the closets. All the closets in this neighborhood are the same: overhanging and the same size. The homes were all built by the same builder.
