Door to door sale scam! Meat rotten and tough! No answer when calling them to return. Shame on them for selling bad meat like that!

Part of the product the seal was broke on so the product was freezer burned. The other product was just bad.
I called and talked to them about the freezer burn and they said they are aware that their vacuum pack sealer was not working lately. She said they would come and replace my meat I bought. I have never seen them. So I have continued to call with no answer and no call back from my messages. I bought 2 packages from them. I bought 1 beef and 1 seafood package. I bought it from ***. The number he gave me was ***. I paid $*** by check. My order number is ***.

I want a refund for the bad meat I have received.

This meat was way overpriced and of poor quality. It was tough and fibrous. The sales person touted it as restaurant quality - maybe for a greasy-spoon-diner, but definitely not a reputable restaurant. As far as the grade, I would consider it USDA Select - barely. I paid $*** for a box of steaks including hamburger. A second box of chicken breasts was included. Still way overpriced, as there was a total of 32 lbs of meat between the two boxes. I will use the steaks, but the majority will be cut up into stew meat or shredded beef that needs hours of cooking.

Sometimes I do or buy stupid things, without figuring out the total cost first. This was one of those times. Lesson learned. The company can be sure I will never recommend them to anybody.

Billing Adjustment I would like a refund, if not a full refund, at least 3/4 of it, which would be $***.

Bought Meat and seafood that were quoted to be 25Lb boxes. All the cuts of meat were in individual boxes marked with there weights which added up to 18lbs 7oz way short of the 25lbs. A Notice of cancellation was submitted within the 3 business day time frame and sent to Dakota Steak and Seafood ***. I contacted *** the sales rep and he said to I had to contact *** the owner about the refund. After calling and leaving messages 3 times to call me there has been no actions or call backs. I believe this business to be a scam

I bought a box of steaks.
This was the worst beef I have ever eaten.
I called ***, the person that sold me the meat several times and have not received a reply.
I left messages telling him that I want my money back.
Like several other complaints that I've read about the company he had me write my check out to him which he cashed immediately after leaving my house.
There is no phone number or email address on the receipt for the company.

Refund I paid $*** for the beef. I tried eating one steak and one hamburger patty. I would accept a refund of $*** for the meat left untouched. I would return the remaining meat if a legitimate address can be found.

We want to return the meat, fish, and freezer and receive our money back.
*** and helper stopped at our house on Friday *** and persuaded my retired wife to purchase $*** of meat fish and a freezer. They requested the check be made out to ***.
We do not want or need that quantity of meat. I tried to stop payment on the check but it had been cashed on Friday afternoon. On Monday *** we sent certified letters with the Notice of Cancellation to the (false) address on the invoice and the *** address. We called and texted messages to the two cell numbers they had on the invoice. This was within the 3 business days so we had the right to cancel. After numerous attempts to contact them we have only 1 response, so we know they received the message. Their response was a text response stating "I have to talk to my boss and he will get back to you". We have not touched the meat and want to return it in good condition and want our money returned. We have contacted them by voice mail and/or text message every day since Monday ***.

All of the pork is rotten. The seafood is inedible. The ground beef has paper ground in it.
Last *** we purchased *** worth of meat and a freezer from *** and his assistant representing the DSSC. They said they would check back with us in 90 days and GUARANTEED we would be happy with the products or they would replace or refund our money. Never heard from them and the pork is all spoiled. The Seafood was in edible as well. The ground beef patties have PAPER IN THEM. Horrible product. We are seeking a refund for all the pork products, the seafood and the ground beef patties.

Everything about this company should be considered fraud. No customer service. No business ethics.
In the first week of *** my mom, on a fixed income, purchased four boxes of meat for her kids ***. She received two of the four boxes at that time. She agreed to the purchase as the company representative assured my mom that the company had trucks in other states and could deliver the same quality meat directly to my sister in *** and myself in ***.

My box finally arrived weeks later, Saturday ***. It was shipped from *** via *** on Wednesday in a 24 hour cooler. The Styrofoam cooler utilized clearly stated that it was good up to 24 hours. Used to keep the meat cold was a zip-lock sandwich bag of ice in the bottom and sandwich bag sized cooler pack near the top. The package was then left on our porch sometime Saturday by ***. The box was not labeled as perishable nor packaged in a way that Styrofoam might be successful in keeping it's contents cold for three days. When we opened the package the Styrofoam cooler was cracked and missing a piece down one side. The contents of the delivery was cool to the touch but all of the meat contents completely defrosted. At that time it was decided that forgoing any kind of health risk the meat would have to be disposed of.

The content of the delivered meat is not what was paid for. My mom purchased 4 boxes of steak and seafood, (shrimp, crab legs and lobster being directly stated by the sales person) with some chicken breast and assorted meats. What we received was a single T-bone, 2 we think NY strips, an assortment of fileted fish which was unmarked and not identifiable, what might have been pork chops, and a very unclear meat product at the bottom that we could only guess to be chicken nuggets. Clearly not what was represented or paid for.

My sister in ***, the same state as the company itself, finally received her shipment Friday ***. She received 24 chicken breast in various seasonings and 16 pieces of assorted steaks. Hers, though again not what was paid for, at least is edible as it was packaged so the contents still frozen.

Both myself, and my mom, has made many attempts to contact the company directly. The only number that we were able to locate goes unanswered.

The credibility of this company should be considered when you choose to make a purchase. They do not deliver what is purchased, and make then it's impossible to resolve issues with a company you can't contact.

Yes in this age of technology the packaging and content were photographed. If only there was a place here to upload the fine photos.

Desired Outcome

The company should make right with my mom. Considering she got half of what she paid for, I believe she should rightfully be refunded one half of the full price paid. I don't remember the exact number but I do know the number was in excess of $***.
