Dakotah Jewelry Store

The Dakotah Jewelry Store in Estes Park is a beautiful store. It has lovely jewelry but the best thing about it is the employees. I spoke to two of the employees and they were both friendly and helpful. The problem I had with the store is that I purchased a ring there but then found a ring at another store that I preferred. I went back to The Dakotah Jewelry store the very same day with the original receipt and the tag still attached to the ring and asked to return it. They refused. They said their policy was that they did not do returns but only gave store credit, when I asked the employee where their return policy was posted she said that she didn't know. I asked to speak to the owner or the manager and they were not there so the employee gave me the store phone number and said that I could call and talk to the manager the next day which I did and her answer was the same, no return just store credit. The manager offered to call the owner, which she did, (or said that she did) and again the answer was the same. I can't believe that a legitimate business would not return an item when an original receipt was provided and the original tag is attached to the merchandise. I will never do business there or at their other store again.
