Dale Service Corporation Reviews (7)

Review: I terminated my residency at [redacted], VA [redacted] on Sept 2. For 2 week I called Dale Sewer at ###-###-#### and [redacted] and ###-###-####. You can not leave a message, and you can not be transferred to anyone, and the 2 people who are listed with extensions voicemail clearly says you aren't in the right department and you cant leave a message. After 15 phone calls I called [redacted] (the water company) and they attemped as well, where they in the end resulted in having to send an email and a phone call was placed to me last week. When I set my water up to be turned off, the water company [redacted] sent notification to Dale Services to turn my water off. The water hadn't been turned off when the woman finally called me back from Dale Sewer. The woman at Dale Sewer backdated the cancellation date for me, and told me I would be getting a $31.64 refund with my final bill. I received the final bill yesterday and there was no refund. Again I called Dale Services only to have the exact same issue. I would like my refund and a phone call.Desired Settlement: The company owes me $31.64 for MY overpayment for services. Please assist.

Review: I was given a letter for a delinquent sewer charge, that was dated for 3/07/2014, I received the letter in the mail on 3/13 when I got home from work. I started calling on 3/14 from the hours of 2:00 pm - 4:00pm until the phone was turned off. I called about every 15 minutes and the phone was never answered. The phone number that was given on the letter had a voicemail which was (surprise) FULL! I even looked online to see if the number had changed and all the other numbers I called were unanswered. On the letter is says that they are open till 5:00pm from Monday - Friday, which is not true because the phone was moved to automatic voicemail at 4:00pm and has not been changed. I work in [redacted] and have just started this job, so I could not leave to pay my bill. I want to pay my bill before the "cut off date" which is 3/17 before 9:00am. Which now worries me because what if there is no one to answer the phone on Monday morning at 8:00am. There is also no way to make a payment online.

This has also happened to me before when I needed check on a payment, but when I went to the office it was closed. No explaination given.Desired Settlement: That the office will be under new responsible management, and that this is not a ploy to cancel their customers' services and then have them pay the disconection fees and additional fees.

Review: I am owner of the property [redacted] VA [redacted]. This is a three level unit and has lower level designated as commercial and upper two levels as residential. This property has one water connection to service all three levels. As per building plan there is only one sewer connection. The Dale Services is billing me separately for lower level and upper levels for sewer services. I have explained to them that there is only one sewer connection for this building and the sewer charges are based on water consumption. The Dale services is billing for both units as both of them are using same amount of water (total water assumed for both units). On upper level, only two individuals are living and one of them is out on travel for more than 50% of the time. I have communicated with Dale Services to charge either 50% of consumption for each unit or the sum of both should be total water consumption. Most of the variation in water usage is contributed by the commercial unit not by like one and half person living in residential unit. I submitted a request to Revdex.com earlier in 2010, case # [redacted]. The case was resolved be reducing the sewerage charges for residential unit. Dale Services increased the charges again in 2012 and were adjusted again after my correspondence. Two year later again same thing is happening. This is very frustrating when I have to remind them every two years about the situation.Desired Settlement: I will like to have two part resolution:1. Dale Services shall charge sewer charges to both residential and commercial units as 50% of total water consumption or the total not to exceed 100% of water bill.2. I will like Dale Services to refund me for the extra money they have charged me since December 2005.

Review: The service address is: [redacted] VA [redacted]

I have made numerous attempts via phone to discuss a billing issue with the company. The numbers I have called are listed below in the copy of an email that I also sent to them through www.virginiaamwater.com.

The property has been unoccupied since March 3, 2014 but the cost that the company is billing me is the same as when the property was occupied. It does not appear that they are keeping updated accurate records and therefore are overcharging me.

No one will answer the phone so I am unable to speak with anyone at the company regarding this matter.

--

This is a copy of the email I have sent:

"I am trying to speak with someone about my bill but no one answers at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. When I call ###-###-#### I am routed to a number that ends up disconnecting the call as I select the options to speak with someone.

No one has lived at the property since March 3, 2014. I would like to understand why I am being billed the same amount as when the home was occupied. Are you overbilling me on purpose? Do I need to put in a request so that you will not over bill me?

I would appreciate a response."

Review: This company has never provided me with a monthly billing invoice. They have never provided me with an account due to their policy of working with the homeowner unless the homeowner sends in written permission (which they have, three times). So they will not discuss the bill with me, but they will send me threatening letters of disconnection for specific amounts that I cannot prove ever existed because I have never seen a bill. They neveer have anybody at customer service to answer the phone, and when I went into the store, there was nobody at customer service to help me either. I have sent a letter explaining my issues and requested an itemized bill from 15 Feb when I moved in as well as a phone call from management to get this straightened out. I received neither. What I did receive was another threatening disconnection letter that said there would be no further contact with them.Desired Settlement: I want an itemized bill from 15 Feb to 15 Aug 2014 showing my usage. I also want a phone call from someone in management to resolve the account issue.

Review: This company is virtually unreachable. I've been calling their one and only number for a solid week with no response. ###-###-####.

No answering machine, and nothing but a busy signal.

I moved out of the [redacted] property and need to cancel my service with them, but there's no way to reach them.Desired Settlement: No charge for the sewage service as of Apr 23, when I sold my house to new owners. PLUS, I NEED THEM TO CANCEL THE SERVICE SINCE I DON'T LIVE AT [redacted] ANYMORE.

Review: I sent in a check for payment (which I do every quarter) in the mail. After three weeks or so, I noticed the check had not been cashed. I called the "billing questions" number and the phone rang about 8-10 times then hung up. I tried calling back again over the course of the next 2-3 weeks and called roughly 30 times. I've called other numbers from their website and have received the same issue. Just this past week I received a letter in the mail saying that I had not paid my bill and they would be shutting my water off. I continued to call then in order to get this resolved. I have never missed a payment with them and my credit score is in the high 700's. This is not an issue of not having the funds to pay my bill, it's simply a matter of not being to verbally speak to anyone at the business over the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like a way to pay my bill, with no late charges, no record of missing a payment on my credit report, and a number to call for future reference that doesn't involve getting hung up on. Their phone situation needs to get fixed.
