Dale Spradley Motors Reviews (5)

I purchased a vehicle from Spradley Motors in November That night when I purchased the car I asked about the 2nd set of keys I was told they needed to be ordered and they would have them for me in the next couple of days They said they would contact me as soon as the keys were in Well, it has been weeks and still no phone call I have emailed the sales manager and general manager on several different occasions asking for an update on my keys and a few other items such as the referral check they told me they would get out in a couple of weeks which to this day still has not happened Long story short, my car was stolen and I needed the 2nd set of key once the car was recovered I had no 2nd set because Spradley has not responded to my emails I called the dealership and told them my situation I was told no managers were in yet but once someone got there they would have them call me Two hours later I call back asking if I could speak with a manager Well, now Iâ m told they are all in a meeting and one will call me after their meeting Well an hour and half later I call back and one of the managers happen to answer my call I ask if he is the general manager, he said no but he is the sales manager I told him what was going on with the car and the keys and that I have been trying to resolve the key the situation taken care of but nobody seems to return my emails and now phone calls He said he would look into it immediately and call me back within the hour An hour goes by and guess whatâ ¦No phone call I call back again around noon and the receptionist said the sales manager was in and new exactly what was going on with my car and me needing the keys immediately and seemed very surprised that nobody had returned my call The receptionist then transfers me to the sales manager Sales Manager answers the phone â Hi, What seems to be the problem?â As if she has no idea what is going on I explain to her that I have been emailed her for several weeks and have even emailed the general manager and no one has bothered to respond or call me back I told her I was in a situation today when I needed those key but didnâ t have them and went on to tell her because I had no keys my car had to be towed The sales manager went on to say the keys have been there all along I asked her why I didnâ t receive a phone call to let me know they were in Instead of her apologizing and taking some of the blame she put it off on one of her salesmen I told her due to not having the 2nd set of keys my car had to be towed and I thought that they should help me out and pay for that She did agree to this I also told her they car would need to be re-keyed at this point and she said no problem we can do that for you I will also send a car over to you since we will need to keep yours I said great! When they showed up to my home they came with this big truck that I am not comfortable driving I called her and asked if there was a different vehicle available, something comparable to my car I didnâ t feel safe in the big vehicle I wasnâ t used to driving She said, not a problem I will have another car delivered to you I thought greatâ ¦ I waited all afternoon for the car to be delivered Nothingâ ¦ Finally about 6:I called and asked to speak with the sales manager I told her I had been waiting all afternoon for the delivery of a car She said in a very rude voice she was too busy and she was all by herself I then said excuse me, I find it hard to believe you couldnâ t have someone at least call and tell me that She raised her voice at me and told me I could not talk to her in that tone and that she has done enough favors for me She said she has done more favors for me then she has any other customer and was tired of me asking for more than I really deserve I was offended by her rudeness and how she spoke to her customer I asked to speak with the owner or to have the ownerâ s phone number She then said my parents are the owners and I will have them call you, then proceeded to hang the phone up on me We will see if I actually get a call back from either of the owners I may have been a little loud but if the sales manager would have been thinking about her customer and actually put herself in my shoes for a moment and realize what I had just been through and maybe just showed a little compassion I wouldnâ t be this upset Instead Iâ m told Iâ m lucky they are doing this for me, Iâ ve asked for enough favors, and that they are too busy to call me back on something she said she was going to do What happened to good quality customer service???? I am a loyal customer if you treatment me with respect Instead I feel like I have been treated like I donâ t matter I do blame myself for some of thisâ ¦ I was told by several people not to purchase a car from this outfit because they have been known to be very difficult to conduct business with Not everyone there but letâ s say a few certain people I just didnâ t listen to those people who warned me about some of the poor customer service Iâ m not saying donâ t buy a car from themâ ¦ their cars are probably good cars but be prepared to be treated like you donâ t matter if you do purchase a vehicle there Like I said she did help out with a few things but I feel I was owed these things for them not following up with me to begin with Now for the sales manager to call these favors That's just wrong Itâ s too bad a few certain individuals have to give the company a bad name and the customers a horrible experience

We have bought pickups from Spradley in the last years and totaling to over $100, I bought a brand new Ford Fand in less than miles the check engine light came on (no big deal things go bad) Took it in to the service department and they said it was an exhaust sensor that they would have to order Ordered the part and was told I would be called when in Well 1/weeks later no call so I decided to call and of course the part was in and no one had called Then was told to bring the pickup in the following Tuesday ( I dont live in Pueblo) and it would take 2-hours to fix I have a full time job and an appointment for my little girl that day I asked if I would be able to have a vehicle to go to the appointment, the response I got was completely rude and unacceptable They told me absolutely not and that they would be able to give me their rate on a rental car So, I am supposed to pay for a car, after I just spent over 60,on a new pickup= unacceptable

Concerned about the appearance of a bait and switch sales technique used by Spradley while I was considering the purchase of a new truck. First, stickers in the some windshields/hanging from mirrors offered "0% 60 months" but then I was told that wasn't a sale that was in effect any longer. Second, I discussed prices with a salesman and his "sales manager" and went home without reaching an agreement. I contacted the dealer a day later and a different "sales manager" spoke to me and offered a deal I thought I could work with. We made plans to have the truck prepped and I advised I would be in the next day to finalize the paperwork. When I arrived the next day the first "sales manager" I dealt with was there but the one that made me the offer wasn't. I was told that they couldn't sell me that truck for that price - that they couldn't get hold of the manager that had given me the offer and I'd have to pay $2,000 more than what I was offered over the phone. I advised I wouldn't do that and I left. I advised them later that I felt they had poor internal communications and that it felt like I was being manipulated - which I refuse to be - and hoped others wouldn't be subject to the same issue. I advised I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com.

On 09/13/2013 I traded a [redacted] Mercury Mountaineer at Spradley Motors for a [redacted] Mercury Mountaineer. I was given a registration and temporary tag in my name and removed the tags from the [redacted] Mountaineer, before leaving the lot. On 01/05/2014 I was told by our local Chief of Police that someone was driving my former vehicle, which was still registered to me and it was being used in burglaries in and around La Junta, Colorado. I called the sales manager [redacted], who informed me that one of their salesmen, [redacted] had purchased the vehicle and he immediately called [redacted] to ask why the vehicle was never registered to him and also told him to contact me. [redacted] called me in about five minutes and said the vehicles transmission went out, soon after he purchased it and he'd sold it for parts. Problem being, the vehicle was never registered to[redacted] and was being used in burglaries. I spoke to the Spradley Title Clerk,[redacted], who said she would send me something in writing stating that[redacted] had purchased the vehicle, shortly after I'd traded it in. But, that never happened. Then I recieved a call from[redacted], who said he was planning to get all of my information and file a suit against me, for causing trouble for him at work. I would seriously like to know why a customer would have to have a registration in their name, before leaving a car lot, but not a salesman. And, according to the Rio Grande County Clerks office, this salesman never registered the vehicle in his name and it's been sold to someone else. In the mean time, my name was discussed as a suspect in multiple burglaries, by at least two different police departments. This has caused serious medical issues for me and my blood pressure is still not under control.
I've purchased three vehicles from Spradley's in the past, but will never do it again.

Thank you for your help.

I purchased a vehicle from Spradley Motors in November 2014. That night when I purchased the car I asked about the 2nd set of keys. I was told they needed to be ordered and they would have them for me in the next couple of days. They said they would contact me as soon as the keys were in. Well, it has been 2 weeks and still no phone call. I have emailed the sales manager and general manager on several different occasions asking for an update on my keys and a few other items such as the referral check they told me they would get out in a couple of weeks which to this day still has not happened. Long story short, my car was stolen and I needed the 2nd set of key once the car was recovered. I had no 2nd set because Spradley has not responded to my emails. I called the dealership and told them my situation. I was told no managers were in yet but once someone got there they would have them call me. Two hours later I call back asking if I could speak with a manager. Well, now I’m told they are all in a meeting and one will call me after their meeting. Well an hour and half later I call back and one of the managers happen to answer my call. I ask if he is the general manager, he said no but he is the sales manager. I told him what was going on with the car and the keys and that I have been trying to resolve the key the situation taken care of but nobody seems to return my emails and now phone calls. He said he would look into it immediately and call me back within the hour. An hour goes by and guess what…. No phone call.
I call back again around noon and the receptionist said the sales manager was in and new exactly what was going on with my car and me needing the keys immediately and seemed very surprised that nobody had returned my call. The receptionist then transfers me to the sales manager. Sales Manager answers the phone “Hi, What seems to be the problem?” As if she has no idea what is going on. I explain to her that I have been emailed her for several weeks and have even emailed the general manager and no one has bothered to respond or call me back. I told her I was in a situation today when I needed those key but didn’t have them and went on to tell her because I had no keys my car had to be towed. The sales manager went on to say the keys have been there all along. I asked her why I didn’t receive a phone call to let me know they were in. Instead of her apologizing and taking some of the blame she put it off on one of her salesmen.
I told her due to not having the 2nd set of keys my car had to be towed and I thought that they should help me out and pay for that. She did agree to this. I also told her they car would need to be re-keyed at this point and she said no problem we can do that for you. I will also send a car over to you since we will need to keep yours. I said great! When they showed up to my home they came with this big truck that I am not comfortable driving. I called her and asked if there was a different vehicle available, something comparable to my car. I didn’t feel safe in the big vehicle I wasn’t used to driving. She said, not a problem I will have another car delivered to you. I thought great… I waited all afternoon for the car to be delivered. Nothing…. Finally about 6:30 I called and asked to speak with the sales manager. I told her I had been waiting all afternoon for the delivery of a car. She said in a very rude voice she was too busy and she was all by herself. I then said excuse me, I find it hard to believe you couldn’t have someone at least call and tell me that. She raised her voice at me and told me I could not talk to her in that tone and that she has done enough favors for me. She said she has done more favors for me then she has any other customer and was tired of me asking for more than I really deserve.
I was offended by her rudeness and how she spoke to her customer. I asked to speak with the owner or to have the owner’s phone number. She then said my parents are the owners and I will have them call you, then proceeded to hang the phone up on me.
We will see if I actually get a call back from either of the owners.
I may have been a little loud but if the sales manager would have been thinking about her customer and actually put herself in my shoes for a moment and realize what I had just been through and maybe just showed a little compassion I wouldn’t be this upset. Instead I’m told I’m lucky they are doing this for me, I’ve asked for enough favors, and that they are too busy to call me back on something she said she was going to do. What happened to good quality customer service???? I am a loyal customer if you treatment me with respect. Instead I feel like I have been treated like I don’t matter.
I do blame myself for some of this… I was told by several people not to purchase a car from this outfit because they have been known to be very difficult to conduct business with. Not everyone there but let’s say a few certain people. I just didn’t listen to those people who warned me about some of the poor customer service. I’m not saying don’t buy a car from them… their cars are probably good cars but be prepared to be treated like you don’t matter if you do purchase a vehicle there.

Like I said she did help out with a few things but I feel I was owed these things for them not following up with me to begin with. Now for the sales manager to call these favors.... That's just wrong.

It’s too bad a few certain individuals have to give the company a bad name and the customers a horrible experience.
