Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

In regards to this matter I sent the title to the wrong address on 6-15-2015, It went to the department of drivers licensing instead of the department of motor vehicles.  I attempted to call the department of licensing many times with no luck, finally I got through to them they stated...

they lost the paperwork and that this mess up happens all the time.  I then proceeded to get Gregory an additional 30 day permit.  I then called to auction paid the $170 to get a new title which I'm waiting to get from the auction. The second I get the title I will overnight the title to the correct dmv.   Sorry for all the headaches on this matter. Thanks Jeff Z[redacted]Dale's Used Cars, Inc

Review: A few weeks back I contacted your dealership in regards to a Jeep that you have for sale I was contacted by the sales rep [redacted] who seemed interested in my business I did have some genuine concerns as some of the reviews I found online we're pretty bad and I let him know that I was skeptical of buying from their business due to these reviews. the next few emails I received from [redacted], were very rude and condescending being a sales manager myself I honestly would have trained my stuff to overcome the customers objections and try to get him to a lot but [redacted]s response was quote let's just cut ties now and then started sending me a plethora of emails trying to back step and cover up why he just said to earn my business, in turn give the business a bad review on Google which was met by more emails from [redacted] thanking me for the review telling me that's exactly what my friends say about me I replied to his email to stop sending me emails and harassing me but yet he still sends more emails I don't want to take this any further than I have to but justice needs to be served I also did contact Dale's used cars on three separate occasions with no call backs or emails from the owners I save all emails that I could forward to anyone that needs to see them

Regards,

This car lot chalks up the most negative and seethe experience I have ever had on a car deal. I purchased a vehicle from this lot, and before I could get out of town, the check engine light came on. I called them, and was told to get the vehicle scanned and send them the results. They said they would work with me. I got 30 more minutes down the road, and another light came on. I called again, and said I would prefer to just bring the vehicle back as it looked to have major problems. I never got a call back. The next work day, I had the vehicle looked at, and sent the report to the car lot. They started back tracking from there. I had a couple people each saying different things. So I decided to just bring it back. I towed it on a trailer, because the mechanics report said dont drive it. I called the lot on my way up to ask them where to park the vehicle. That's when I started getting calls back. All of the sudden they wanted to work with me, and get the vehicle repaired. I then got the opportunity to talk with the owner who happens to be a reasonable and calm guy. He just employes people that are destroying any credibility his dealership might have had. Since then, I have received numerous emails with little to no information about the condition or repair of the vehicle, but plenty of snide comments, and ridiculous expectations for someone in this situation. This has been by far, the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I would recommend going somewhere else for your next vehicle. I'm not even asking anybody to take my word for it... Simply ask around.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Dales Used Cars and they haven't been able to provide the paperwork to the local DOL in my State (Washington) so I can get it licensed. I am now two months past the temporary license plate and haven't been able to get them to do anything to correct this issue. I have been told they'll send me a new temporary plate and never received one, and emails back and forth haven't provided more information beyond we are looking into it or we don't have a solution yet.

I asked them about purchasing a different truck that cost a little more and returning this one so they can work out this problem without effecting me and they haven't given me any response to that as well. I need to either get a license or get a new vehicle that I can license before I get pulled over and ticketed or the state of Washington comes after me for tax evasion.

Please assist me in finding resolution with this issue.Desired Settlement: I want to exchange the vehicle I have for a different vehicle as my need changed and the company has been unable to fulfill the contractual obligations of the purchase agreement in almost three months.

I just bought a 2011 ram 1500 from [redacted] and [redacted]. I can't say enough good things about these guys. I got a great price for a quality vehicle! The thing I liked best is they are normal guys and applied NO PRESSURE! I would highly recommend these guys!

Review: Purchased vehicle advertised on [redacted]. Photos were selectively taken to not disclose blemishes or faults and otherwise presented a near pristine example of the vehicle which was priced accordingly per frequent and resent sales on [redacted].After several discussions with salesperson including a "bonding" tactic involving personal and family oriented discussions, discussion in which all of the proper fact finding questions were asked by me, and in which the fact that Dale's Used Cars has been doing business since 1974 was underscored several times, I decided to purchase the vehicle and forward payment. When picking up the vehicle it was immediately evident that the vehicle was no where near the physical or mechanical example that had been depicted. It had been repainted, there were good sized dents on nearly every surface, it leaked diesel, had no lights other than headlights operating, had steering play that resulted in 180 degrees of slack in the steering wheel, shifted poorly, braked poorly.Desired Settlement: I have invoices thus far for $2,600 of repairs necessary to simply get the vehicle safe and road worthy. A major repair of the transmission may be forth coming, in the range of $1,200. I would like Dale's Used Cars to refund $5,000 of my purchase price reducing my purchase cost for the vehicle to $7,500, still a high price for a vehicle in its condition.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] did market research on [redacted], [redacted], and other search engines for this specific vehicle. He was aware that these vehicles bring a premium in today's market. He made a decision based on his research, not ours, that this truck was a good price for the exceptionally low mileage on the truck. Proof that we mutually agreed that the truck was worth the asking price is his signed purchase agreement as well as the check that Mr. [redacted] sent to us far in advance of his delivery. He had plenty of time to consider the amount before the verbal agreement, the exchanged purchase documents, and the time of delivery. Mr. [redacted] made the comment during one of our conversations that this specific model of truck from this era has a reputation for the engine outlasting the truck itself. He said that the engine would go for a million miles, but the truck would need work along the way. He is correct in his analysis. Mr. [redacted] arrived to take delivery of his truck. He walked around the truck and gave it a personal inspection. He said he was excited. He thanked me for representing the truck accurately and told me it was exactly what I described. He came inside our office and signed the Federal Buyers Guide stating the truck was being sold "As Is" and without a warranty. We provided him with a 30 day temporary license for his vehicle. He made a legal delivery of the vehicle when he left our location. I haven't encountered an individual purchasing a truck of any age that had an expectation of complete perfection. It is at the end of the day, a used vehicle. Mr. [redacted]'s statement that the pictures were deceptive would only be valid had he had the vehicle delivered and not given the truck his personal approval upon arrival at our dealership. He made no attempt to renegotiate at any time prior to delivery with more time than average to do so. Other callers on the truck noticed the small crease and commented that the damage was minor and of no concern. I had other serious prospects on the sale of this truck. Mr. [redacted] made the first move to commit to the purchase leaving a few callers disappointed because of its rarity. He drove the truck away. He called a few hours later. He said that the truck had been painted on. He said that the tail lights did not work nor did the brake lights. I told him that he could go to Perfection Tire and Automotive in Post Falls. Mr. [redacted] insisted on coming to our location for a visit. I met him outside and looked at the truck. I asked him to show me the overspray from paint work. He showed me dried wax on the black washer fluid nozzles on the hood. I informed him that the white specks were dried wax. The truck is white and the dried wax was also white. We hadn't talked about whether there had ever been paint work performed on the truck. The over all condition of the paint suggests that it is all or primarily original or long existing paint. I told him that it was my opinion that paint work of any kind is highly probable on a vehicle of that age. Most of the trucks in those years had paint that peeled off from defective primer. Most of them have peeled paint or have been completely repainted. Even if it had been repainted, it doesn't decrease the value of the truck nor had it been discussed. The fact that the truck has the minor crease supports the idea of a more original type condition. Mr. [redacted] said that he believed there was a possible fuel leak. He showed me the brake lights that did not work. The rear lights had worked when taken into our inventory. I told Mr. [redacted] that we would be happy to get an opinion as to what it would take to resolve that issue. I informed him that Perfection Tire in Post Falls would be on standby if he were to take it there immediately. I felt that something had to have happened in the detailing process to cause a wire to become loose. Mr. [redacted] informed me that he intended to do nothing of the sort. He told me that we had one option. That option was to take the truck back or he would smear our dealership on the internet. In fact, Mr. [redacted] said that he had a friend that worked for Google. He said that every time our business name came up that it would be trashed on the internet. Once threatened by Mr. [redacted], it is standard procedure to end discussion. I told him that I was not longer willing to visit with him as I would not be threatened or held hostage. He did not propse options A, B, or C. Just to give him his way or we suffer from his retaliation. I told Mr. [redacted] to take the truck to Perfection Tire, have them look at the truck, and they could speak to our owner directly for any resolution. Mr [redacted] left and went to Perfection Tire. They made sure the lights were working. It took no time to resolve it. The offer was made to Mr.[redacted] where he could stay in town overnight so that Perfection Tire could spend more time to validate any of the concerns Mr. [redacted] expressed. The evaluation of the truck by their service staff produced an opinion that the truck is exceptionally nice. They informed Mr. [redacted] that any truck that is 20 years old is going to need some upkeep upon purchase. It had to have sat quite a bit for the truck to have an average of only 6K miles per year. Mr. [redacted] refused our offering to pay for a room and let us try to resolve his dissatisfaction. Mr. [redacted] refused because he had entered the advanced stage of buyers remorse. We attempted to resolve the issue with Mr. [redacted] in good faith by repairing the brake and tail lights. We offered to spend some additional time validating potential concerns. We offered to have him get a room over night. He declined and refused our efforts because they were not on his terms. He left with his truck from Perfection Tire and Automotive with threats of getting an attorney when he arrived home. Thank you for forwarding Mr. [redacted]'s concerns to us. It is disappointing that the efforts we made to assist Mr. [redacted] were declined and that he is unsatisfied with his purchase. The truck isn't broken. He drove it from Idaho to the west side of the State of Washington without mechanical failure. The question when buying a used vehicle is not if it is going to break, it's when it will do so. This one has not. We had hope his purchase of a rare truck would purchase would have been satisfying.

Review: In November of 2015, I traded a 2002 Chevy Avalanche in up at Dales Used Cars for a 2004 Mazda 6, straight across. No cash down, no cash paid etc., I had just purchased the pickup and still had a temporary in the back window which they were clearly aware I didn't have the title. I hadn't even registered it. I called up to Dales around the beginning of December and asked when they were sending my registration so I could license my vehicle (2 days until it expired) and he said if I paid, and filed for my title and faxed them a copy saying it was sent off that they would send the registration down and give me a 30 day extension for my vehicle. So I paid to file for the title, and sent them a fax for proof. I called them, they said they got it and would be sending my registration. I called again a few days ago (Jan. 17, 2016) and the guy was very rude, cussing and said unless you send us that title you are legally obligated and will owe us $10,000 and hung up on me. Before hanging up I told him I went through on my deal, by sending you the copy that I filed for my title and you aren't doing your part of the deal. He said I don't have to do anything until that title is in my hands. I called again today (January 20, 2016) and said I needed to speak with a manager, pretty sure it was the same guy. He refuses to give me an extension on my temporary. He asked what the deal with the title is, I told him I ordered it on the above stated date and it could take up to twelve weeks. Then he went onto about how he thought I had the title etc. I am not happy nor pleased with this crappy service. They have sold the Avalanche as well, with no title. I do not trust to send my title because they didn't follow through with their end of the deal, so how do I trust they will with this one. I am frustrated and do not know what to do.Desired Settlement: I'm not sure what to ask for, they have crappy and rude workers, they lied to me, and refused to give me an extension, which by law they have to. They have violated so many of my rights. I am wanting to take this to court. I feel they stole from me... and made me look like an it. This business should have their license revoked. I have 3 babies, a job and schooling I need to get to.

Response:

Revdex.com, In regards to this matter, we have been holding up the title for the Mazda that she purchased, because we have not received the title to the trade in. Its our policy to hold titles to protect our interest in the trades that we take. We have decided to help in this matter and have sent the title ups tracking number [redacted], to Licensing [redacted] on 1/22/2016. We are very sorry for all the problems with this matter. We did her a favor, as she stated that the truck we took on trade was getting too bad of gas mileage and she needed a car. We took a very big gamble on this deal because she did not have the title in hand to the trade in, in the future we will not do another deal like this one.
