Review: On 11/02/12 [redacted] installed an asphalt driveway at my home. They left most of the old drive but they took out a section of the old drive on the north side of the house leaving a very low section close to my house foundation. Then they paved the entire drive. The section of the driveway that they took out is very low and slanted toward the house. It holds water with every rain and forms a very large , thick ice sheet during winter. Ants and weeds also came up through the drive and it has cracked in several places. Water also runs back into my garage due to the improper level of the driveway. During the installation,they cracked the cement walk ways by driving over them with heavy equipment and they parked their heavy equipment on my cement patio by the back door doing damage. They left broken tree limbs tossed all over the yard which I cleaned up after they were gone. I paid them on completion of the job by a check and my credit card. At the time I could not tell that the driveway was not level and was going to hold water .

On 11/27/12 I contacted their office, left a message, received no response.

On 12/07/12 I again contacted their office and left a message. On 12/10/12 a workman (the man who installed the drive and a woman) came out from their office , removed a large plant that had come up through the drive in front of the garbage door and he pounded down some of the asphalt that was preventing even drainage. After about an hour and one half , he told me was leaving and they would be back and finish up the drive. On 01/15/13 I contacted their office again and left a message with no response until 01/23/13 when the same man came to my house with two other men. He sprayed weed killer and used a blow torch on some of the weeds that had come up through the driveway. He then informed me if they had to come out again that [redacted] (the son) said I would be billed.

On 10/14/13 @ 4 pm I telephoned [redacted] and asked to talk with the owner regarding the drive way holding water next to the foundation of my home. I was told he was not available but would return my call. I received no response. So I drafted a letter to [redacted] explaining all the problems with the drive and mailed it to his office. On 10/15/13 @ 6:25 pm [redacted] called me from South Dakota and told me he would be back in town on November 1, 2013 and would come take care of the driveway problems. He said that they stood behind their work.

On November 18, 2013 [redacted] (son) came out to my house , looked at the problems and said they would fix them, however, he said they had fired the man who had installed my drive for stealing a compressor and were looking for a replacement. He said they would be coming out on the following Thursday or Friday. They were a no show. By that time the winter was nasty and I knew they could not pour asphalt in that kind of weather.

On April 16, 2014 I drafted a letter to [redacted] , reminding them of their promise and asking when they intended to come make the repairs. I also enclosed several pictures of the water and the ice that forms on the drive. I heard nothing back from them so I called on May 13, 2013 was told they were not available so I left a message referencing the problem and was told they would return my call. I have not been contacted so I am contacting you. I have copies of the letters I sent and the pictures I took if needed.Desired Settlement: I would like them to come out and make the repairs that they promised to make.

Review: Company has been uncooperative in our attempts to reach out to them. They were responsible for damages caused by one of their employees, and fail to comply with our attempts to reach them.Desired Settlement: I want this company to reach out to me and provide the necessary liability coverage they are required to do, given the circumstances of this loss.
