Dalhart Maltese

I inquired on what I thought was a reputable Maltese Breeder site dalhartmaltese.com. I was contacted via internet, and phone. I was instructed to send $500 via Cash App and the additional $400 the following day to complete payment. I sent the money as instructed. I was then sent information regarding shipping and vet checks. I then was contacted by ""Bertotrack" who informed us our puppy required a special climate controlled crate because of the current weather. They requested I send a FULLY REFUNDABLE $1070, I needed to do this for the shipper to complete shipment. I REFUSED, upon research I discovered Bertotrack is a known scamming company preying on the kind hearts of animal lovers. I have not recieved a refund or a puppy. At this point I feel I have been completely scammed and there more than likely never was a puppy.
