In response to Mr*** complaint, first we would like to say that we are very sorry that this repair took so longBecause of this being a warranty claim the repair took much longer than it normally would have due to the fact of the warranty company *** involvementWe had to wait about
weeks for the *** inspector to show upThen we had to perform different tests on the engine before it was even determined that the engine they sold us was faultyIt took more weeks for us to get the authorization to replace the engine, then at least another week before the replacement engine came inThat put the time already well into DecemberAfter installing the replacement engine it was found that it had no oil pressure, after further checking it was found that the oil pump was bad. We spent another days procuring and replacing the oil pumpAfter everything was ready to go, the engine would not start! Mr*** had had problems previously with the vehicle not starting before the engine was replaced the second timeHe had told us that the vehicle would not start from time to timeHe even had us install a fuel filter, but he still had problemsLet me just add that the vehicle originally came in because the engine was knocking and it was determined that the original replacement engine was badAfter we did several more tests to the engine we found that the fuel pump was badThe fuel pump had nothing to do with installing the replacement engine but was a completely different issueWe installed the new fuel pump and on 12/29/all was ready to be deliveredWe had already given Mr*** free towing, a new starter and new plug wires for free, no labor charge on the water pump, thermostat, a new battery harness and heater outlet tube when we first replaced the engine because he was such a good customerAll we are asking is that Mr*** pay for $*** for the fuel pump itselfThere is no charge for the labor of hours to replace the pump. Once again we are very sorry that it took so long for the vehicle to be repaired but as you can see the time line was out of our hands. We are also saddened that Mr*** is upset with us, he has been a good and loyal customer and we deeply regret his feelings about the situationWe hope that Mr*** will understand that it would be unfair to hold us responsible for the fuel pump expense as wellHis vehicle is ready for pick up
