Our Kalaupapa tour was cancelled the morning of our April 11 visit, upon our arrival at the site. Today is July 11. Exactly three months later and we have not received a refund, not even a single communication or apology from the company, Damien Tours. Our tour was not cancelled due to weather or uncontrollable circumstances. Tour was cancelled because of a disagreement between the owner and the tour guide. The tour guide was fired, leaving no one to take us through Kalaupapa. All of our tour group was extremely disappointed. And considering the price we paid, a refund is a must!
