Complaint ID: [redacted]I know the seven days have passed, but this issue has not been resolved.  I would like something done.  Dan claims that I did not call him until two days later.  Regardless of when I called him, he is still at fault.  Dan did not say he would return in a few days. He said he didn't have time to come out at all. I did not get upset until Dan made it clear he was not going to come to our home and fix the problem.  During our conversation, Dan made it quite clear that he knew he made not just one, but several large holes when he was on our roof, and he chose not to inform us. He said that the holes that he made didn't cause the water to seep though the ceiling.  That is the most ridiculous logic I have heard in quite some time.  He did not come to our home to, "Help us out and give us a hand," as he puts it.   He advertised his services.  We responded to his advertisement and paid him for a job that was not done properly.  Dan's comment that he is not the kind of person to leave someone hanging is completely  contradictive with his actions. The fact that he took our money and left, while full aware that he had done a horrible job is characteristic of a person that in fact does, " leave people hanging."  Please do not close this case until it has been resolved.Thank you,[redacted]

got a call from her until 2 days later and I had told her I got really back up with work and that there was no rain in forcast for 5 days and I would get out within a few days and she got really upset. I only went out there to give them a hand in a middle of a rain storm at 8pm at night and after she called me I even sent her husband a text to let me know if I can help and that I am not that kind of person to leave them hanging

Review: My husband and I hired Daniel Gerrity to drape plastic tarp over our leaking roof. We provided Dan with new plastic tarp to drape over the area of roof that needed repair. When Dan put up the tarp, he made several holes in the plastic. Because this took place at night, my husband was not able to see the holes Dan had made. The next day we had a significant amount of water leak into our house. It was then we noticed the holes in the plastic that had been draped over the roof. One slit is approximately 7 inches long, one is approximately 5 inches diameter, and one is approximately 5 inches long. I called Dan to inform him of what happened. He said he knew he had made the holes in the plastic, but felt they weren't large enough to cause water to seep though. Regardless, I asked him to return and either patch the holes in the plastic or replace the tarp. He said he did not have time to do either. He has not returned to make the repairs.Desired Settlement: We paid Daniel Gerrity $200.00 for his labor. We also paid $100.00 for the plastic tarp. I would like him to refund us the $200.00 he charged us for his services.
