There is absolutely no legitiment signed contract for Dan Jacobs or anywhere I see a $cancellation feeThere was also no date or time set up ever for this installThis was a bid for the job through first national bank as you can see by the request through the bank e mailsThe other contractors that bid had to do the same thingI would appreciate this matter being dropped.

freeestimate on 4/14/15. He called us back a week later and he informed us that we were the low bidder &that the job was ours. We prepared paperwork for him so that he could get a loan through his bank, notonce but twice. The second bid needed to be more detailed for loan purposes. We did it for him with noquestions asked. He then asked us to leave the schedule open for him. We left one week in late springopened for him to choose a day that was convenient for him.We called in late spring to see if he had a day that was good for him for us to do the install. He inreturn told us that they were behind with the construction & it would be another month or two beforewe would be able to do his install. We called him about 45 days later to see how the progress of theconstruction was going and if he was ready for us to do the install. He informed us that he had a frienddo the install for him. He never once gave us a courtesy call saying that he wasn’t using our services ornot to hold a place for him on the schedule. Then he has the audacity to write to the Better BusinessBureau. This speaks volume of his integrity & professionalism. The $250.00 is a more than fair [redacted], not only for all the time it took us, but the fact that whilewe held our schedule open for him, we lost other jobs in the process. If the $250.00 is not paid, I willutilize the legal system not only for the $250.00 but for our total loss.Dan J[redacted]Dan Jacobs Services, LLC

Great service on gas furnace. Would recommend to all.

Review: Dan Jacobs was referred from a friend to get a estimate on a new addition I was building and needed a new unit put in for the add on. Mr. Jacobs had come out to inspect what was all needed and give me a estimate on the job. I got a estimate on the job from several different contractors to see who would come in at the best [redacted]. I was dealing with the bank to approve the contractor that best suited me, so each contractor was to write the estimate on a letter head with the license number and turn into the bank. Mr. Jacobs was about 3,000 dollars higher than the contractor I ended up using. So weeks went by and I got a bill in the mail for $250 dollars! I was furious on why I got a bill for $250 on a estimate that was done. So I called Mr. Jacobs about the bill and when getting in touch with him, I asked why do I have a bill for $250. He said that we had basically set up for him to do the work, which was "Never" said at all and he assumed that he would be doing the work, before he even got the job. So the bill was out of frustration on his part for not getting the job. Then he stated in the bill that it was for the estimate and writing to the bank which took him 10 min to do at the most. There was nothing ever signed or anything on a $250 fee to fax the estimate to the bank. I then find out as I talk to more and more people that this is how he runs his business as I don't recommend to use him as others told me after this issue. This was not a Free Estimate at all!Desired Settlement: There should be absolutely no charge for the estimate. He advertises FREE Estimates.
