Danmar is a joke
They lie, they tell you whatever they want. When you question them they get irritated call you and give you an attitude. They have an employee Danielle who obviously was never taught any form of manners from her parents yet is the voice of Danmar. Not only do they do the absolute bare minimum they don’t care. Why manage properties if you don’t care. I live here I pay good money to have a nice place and Danmar makes it harder than necessary for that. They should be voted out by all associations. I am truly amazed in todays society that people put up with such shady companies. After being told they been around for 25+ Years I was shocked. After that amount of time you think they would figure out how to do things right and realize we are the people that pay them and they need to respect us and our properties.

Beware
This is by far the worst company I have ever come across. They are extremely unprofessional, rude and nasty. Especially the so called owner. You can rarely get a hold of anyone and when you finally do they treat you as if you are inconveniencing them and are extremely nasty on the phone. I was literally told that she did not care about my concerns or what I thought was fair. All they care about is collecting your money and they make that especially inconveinent. Stay away from and complex ran by them or get on the board to get them removed.

This company is absolutely horrible. They lie to you. Customer service is nasty to you. & Refuse to help you. Everything has to wait to go to the board. You have to email every problem at least 3 times. To get a responds. Office can't address nothing. They don't attend any meetings or care if we have any. Which leave our concerns unaddressed. All they care about is getting your money and hiring friends & family to do as little as possible for your community. They need to hire people who care and are professionals at what they do. Not unprofessionals lazy, don't know nothing, can't help you people just there for a pay check.

Review: Landscapers informed home owners and for 3 yrs have cut our grass after being assured they would cut the grass because it was bypassed from a on duty rep from dan mar landscaping our grass was never cut in our yard. After leaving multiple messages, emails and speaking to over 4 different dan mar reps in regards to our concerns of our grass not being cutthey still failed to assistat me as a customer. Not only did they not assist, they were very rude and would not allow me to speak to a supervisor after requesting multiple times to speak with a superior. The woman [redacted] stated she would not give me a timeframe for them to view the property nor would they do the landscaping. [redacted] acknowledged on 8/19 that they would not take any further action, would not get a supervisor and shell send someone out to the home eventually to take picture. I informed [redacted] shes welcome too and also let her know I can send her pics if needed of my yard. She refused and told me she wasnt forwarding message. I asked to still speak to a supervisor in which she confirmed she wasnt a supervisor and she refused again and said we do not have to do the yard which has no fence around the property. Rep wasnt helpful very rude did not want to accomdate me as a customerDesired Settlement: Finish the job. for 3 yrs my backyard has been the same and for 3 yrs it has been cut

Review: Horrible, disrespectful, ineffective management company. Why does the [redacted] employ these people? We have been property owners for over 28 years. We are never late and pay 3- 12 months in advance! Recently the association assessed the owners 100's of extra dollars for snow removal. Understandable expense but they took my condo fee payments and applied them to the assessment. I did not give them permission to do that. My advance condo fees are there to fund condo fees and it is written on every envelope. They moved my money, without telling me and left a zero balance. That, of course made my condo fee late! The very next mailing advised me of a late fee! Really people? Is this how you treat your best property owners? I made many many phone calls to try to straighten this out but was met with resistance and finally the office management curtly told me to write a letter to the board. She ([redacted]) then threatened to hang up on me if I asked her anymore questions. She then ended the phone call.So, you took my money and applied it to something that WAS NOT authorized and then charged me a late fee for paying in advance? This was clearly wrong and poor accounting. It may or may not be an illegal practice but it is certainly unethical. You should be fired Dan-Mar.Desired Settlement: Removal of late fees and written apology.

Review: Dan Mar has charged me $30 because a check was sent to them, they waited to cash the check. I closed the bank account before they cashed the check and opened a new account. It was obvious I intended to pay the bill on time. Instead of contacting me about the check they couldn't cash they immediately charged me $30 in late fees. They unethically sent me a letter charging me late fees after the payment date so I did not have an opportunity to pay the bill on time.Desired Settlement: They refund the $30 they charged me.

Response:

[redacted] sent a check for payment of his association fees from a closed bank account. His check was received in our office on November 29, 2013 and presented to the bank on December 2, 2013. Beneficial Bank sent his check back to us as Non-Sufficient funds. His COMMUNITY, BRITTANY COMMONS, was charged a bank service charge to their bank account for because of this, and at that time his payment was considered late. He was charged the $15.00 NSF fee and a $15.00 late fee as per the By-Laws of his community. This has nothing to do with Dan-Mar Management as the bank account is in the name of the Community. Further, Dan-Mar Management has no authority to waive any type of fee from a homeowners account, it must be requested in writing by the homeowner to the Board of Trustees of the Association to be approved at a Board meeting by majority vote. The next Board meeting for his Community is scheduled for January 14, 2014. If [redacted] would have called our office to discuss this issue he would have been told of this policy. This is the policy every homeowner must follow as per the Governing documents of the [redacted] Condominium Association.[redacted] continues to slander our company and is using the Revdex.com as a vehicle to do so. Because of his actions, I am now pursuing legal action against him personally. I kindly ask that this complaint be closed. [redacted] needs to take responsibility for his own actions as all other homeowners do. He is no different than any of the other 280 residents in his Community which also must follow the rules as set. As was stated in the previous response, The Board of Trustees must make the decision concerning the removal of any fees from a unit owners account, Dan Mar Management does not have the authority to do so. Any homeowner must make this request in writing to the Board of Trustees to be reviewed at the Board meeting. As such he has placed a complaint against Dan Mar Management who does not have authority with this issue without giving the Board of Trustees of [redacted] Commons an opportunity to review such a request. The Board meets every other month and their next meeting is January 14th, we will include this report/request in the Board packet for the Board's review and decision,however Management does not control the decision of the Board.[redacted] does continue to make accusations against Dan Mar Management wrongly as it is not Dan Mar Management's decision to make. [redacted] has been advised as to the proper process to make his request to the Board and the Board will make their decision. This is the same process all 280 other unit owners are advised to follow and [redacted] is not being treated any differently.[redacted]Dan Mar Management

I am rejecting this response because:Below is my previous response, since they just robotically wrote the same thing (minus legal threats) without addressing any of my points I guess I will do the same.This is the same thing which happens when you call them with an issue. They robotically repeat the same thing in the phone until you hang up. I have left several messages for [redacted] and she has never called me back.Close the issue, this forum isn't worth my time due to the 0 amount of resolve from my last complaint (however I won't accept their response). I have letters out to the Attorney Generals Office, The Office of the Governer, and Consumer affairs. I will pursue other avenues.I’d like to note that Dan Mar has threatened legal action against me in their previous post. I have not received, at this time, any legal documentation per this threat. I opened this Revdex.com complaint questioning the ethics of Dan Mar, they respond with a legal threat. If Dan Mar was going to pursue legal action why wouldn’t they just do it instead of using the law as an intimidation factor on a Revdex.com forum? Is this not abuse of process? I called my bank (TD Bank) the check was mailed on Nov 20 and received by recipient on Nov 25. The bank account was closed on Dec 3. I will provide proof of this when I get a statement from the bank tomorrow. The bank account was closed 8 days after Dan Mar received the check and 3 days after it was due. Dan Mar claims they have no authority when the situation is not in their favor but they have all the authority in the interpretation of the by-laws. They continually hide behind the by-laws. I have tried to communicate and reason with Dan Mar personnel in the past. They do not listen to your request, they are rude and abusive over the phone. I have left 3 messages in the past regarding my last complaint to speak with [redacted] personally on an issue. She has never called me back. The first response I have received from her is a legal threat. I ask the Revdex.com if this is how a professional business who is responsible for upholding By-Laws for a community should act? Their grade is already an F. This should be consideration enough that they do not care about their customer. Dan Mar does not compete for their annual contract because a board of ‘trustees’ automatically renews their contract each year. How is this legal? This year I am running as a candidate for Board of Trustees. Revdex.com, How can I be assured there will be a fair vote? Does a third party count the votes or does Dan Mar? I will be at the town meeting on January 14 with a list of question for the Board. In my last complaint you can also see that [redacted] threated me with fees. Two complaints, two threats. Previously, Dan Mar made a clerical error and charged me a late fee after I have submitted full payment. This was their error. I didn’t get money when they made an error even though it was a major inconvenience to my time and my money. Revdex.com, you set up this platform so businesses be accountable for their actions and ethics.
