Dan Schilling Inspections

Dan charges by hour. He took his time doing the inspection, and on top of that charged for 3 hours for writing the report.

Dan [redacted] Inspected my home in Madison as part of the purchase. Dan charged me more than the average home inspection in Madison justifying it by his extensive knowledge. The only item of significance he found during the inspection we brought back to the sellers and it almost ended our deal due to his incorrect assessment of the item.
Now as I am selling my home less than 3 years later I am stuck paying for significant electrical/plumbing defects that he missed. He didn't even know the electric box was not up to code??? That the sump pump was not working correctly. So now as a seller, I am out thousands of dollars rectifying the significant DEFECTS he missed but the current inspector caught. The issues are so significant that the lender won't loan unless I rectify.
I would not recommend Dan [redacted] for a residential inspection.
