Mr***, We appreciate your feedback and thank you for voicing your concerns.At Dan The Gutterman, we do not provide on site estimates for gutter cleaningsWe only provide on site estimates for repairs or installsWe estimate our cleaning services based on the information we gather from you over the phone along with the specs from the Auditor's pageWhen we originally spoke, we provided an estimate over the phone and mentioned we would be out within a couple of weeks to take care of the serviceWhen I spoke with your wife, she mentioned that she was not sure if the gutters were cleanedI gladly scheduled a follow up appointment for the next day to ensure they were cleaned, however when our technicians arrived, they were told not to mount the ladderOur technicians should not be mounting any specialty roofs, including cedar, slate, and clay tileIf there is damage to your roof caused by our technicians, we are more than willing to work with you to remedy the situation.As a business, we work in order to provide a service to our customers in needI apologize for any negative experience you may have hadThank you for your feedback, for it allows us to grow and provide better service to our clientele.Suzanne

I totally understand Mr [redacted] Thank you for leaving this reviewIn regard to the shield, we had run out of shield on our truck during the jobI do apologize for thisI assure you that you were placed in our system for a follow up to return and finish the jobWe print out the invoice in the office and hand this to the technicians to give to the customer once the job is completeThey should have not left the invoice on site since the job was not completeIt is routine procedure which is why I believe it was doneAs for the e-mails and phone calls, I am personally in the office on a daily basis and do not remember attempted communication from a Mr [redacted] This is absolutely no excuse of course, but I can honestly state that from the managerial end, you were not intentionally ignoredIf you had contacted us in August by chance, we were swamped with work on a daily basisAgain, I do apologize for the lack of communicationThank you for setting up an appointment with us on Wednesday first thing in the morning on October 5th 2016, we will be there to of course ensure the downspouts are clearIt is possible that this is an underground drain line issue, we will test for this alsoThis is separate from a gutter / downspout cleaningSee you then! Good morning sir, I do apologize for your troubles with this incidentIt is unfortunate this has happened, and we are truly sorry for the inconveniences you have been put throughI understand the frustration of your situation - I truly doI do remember receiving your call in early of this year I do not remember being ill-mannered toward you, but if this is the case, I do very very much apologize for unprofessionalismDan of Dan the Gutterman was in and out of the hospital at this timeHe was building up towards a surgery of a life time - screws inserted into his back with an ft incisionThis was completed in order to straighten out a previous back surgery years ago (done incorrectly) which has caused infinite health problems over the yearsThis is actually the reason why I, Dan's daughter, left my work from out of state to take over the family businessMy father was heading down hill quite fastHe was heading to the emergency room sometimes twice a weekThe point of me stating this was - your call was received at this timeI provided him with the message and gave him your numberHe did not call, and I was unaware during this time that he did not call you backAgain, I do apologize for thisI'm going to be completely honest with you sirFor that sort of damage to occur in your home - there would need to be a long term cause for thisAs in, many gutter cleanings not obtained for your home for many years, etcPossibly you recently moved in? That kind of damage does not occur from one time of not receiving a gutter cleaningThis would be caused from not checking the drainage system for a long period of timeOr you are in terrible need of upgrading the foundation of your homeOr if your basement was flooding - you possibly needed the underground drain lines cleared (Which is a separate service).I apologize for the technicians not performing the work correctlyI assure you that the technician whom was at your home is no longer with Dan the Gutterman, and for this reasonHe was new to the game and did not live up to par with the ret of our teamWe cannot determine that lack of our gutter cleaning alone in November was the entire cause of your floor being damagedDan the Gutterman would be more than happy to reimburse you for the $bill from last fall with the second company, and to provide a refund for your service with us - the $chargePlease e-mail or call us at our office to confirm Thank you for writing this review to let us be fully aware of the situationI want to help as much as possible from my endPlease contact us as soon as possible for us to return the $charge and the $charge

the early months of this year where I was not overseeing matters in the office and needed to take leaveDuring the time that this job was not fully taken care of, there was a great amount of overwhelm for my co-workers and this job was dropped in the middle of the confusionEither way, there is no excuse, and we will of course finish this service free of charge.Please contact us at your earliest convenience, and thank you for your business

I am rejecting this response because: I am going to be completely honest with you. You had a major problem with the associates that arrived at our home, that to me is clear, and supported by the fact that they no longer work for your company. I can also tell you that gutter cleaning is a yearly maintenance for our family and the Master Craftsman that followed to cleaned our gutters after your visit found nothing of the likes to which you are speaking. The bottom line is that after your associates left our downspouts were crammed packed with the contents that were previously in our gutters. This was not a draining issue, our drains are fine. Our foundation is fine. Hour home is located in the highest spot in our neighborhood and probably one of the highest spots in Lewis Center. Water has never breached our home prior to your associates visit. We had water breach our home because it had no where to go because your associates cram packed our downspouts with the contents that was previously in our gutters. The internet is something that does not go away, and I am also sure we can locate the clients that experienced the same exact issue that occurred in our home. It does sound like things were busy for your company during this time and we appreciate that information, but there are reputable companies we called that could not do the work because of their busy schedule. We are an understanding family, and appreciate the information concerning your father. We wish him the best in his recovery, but that does not mean we should have to live with a damaged floor.  Kind Regards,

2016. I do not remember being ill-mannered toward you, but if this is the case, I do very very much apologize for unprofessionalism. Dan of Dan the Gutterman was in and out of the hospital at this time. He was building up towards a surgery of a life time - 23 screws inserted into his back with an 18 ft incision. This was completed in order to straighten out a previous back surgery 15 years ago (done incorrectly) which has caused infinite health problems over the years. This is actually the reason why I, Dan's daughter, left my work from out of state to take over the family business. My father was heading down hill quite fast. He was heading to the emergency room sometimes twice a week. The point of me stating this was - your call was received at this time. I provided him with the message and gave him your number. He did not call, and I was unaware during this time that he did not call you back. Again, I do apologize for this. I'm going to be completely honest with you sir. For that sort of damage to occur in your home - there would need to be a long term cause for this. As in, many gutter cleanings not obtained for your home for many years, etc. Possibly you recently moved in? That kind of damage does not occur from one time of not receiving a gutter cleaning. I totally understand. I spoke to my father, Dan, after speaking with you regarding the cleaning. I called you back the next day, the day after, and the day after that leaving voice mails informing you that your gutter cleaning was half price due to the fact that the technician stated he...

cleaned a portion of debris and inspected your gutters but you did not need a full gutter cleaning.Please listen to your voice mails sir, I have left a couple stating this along with my associate stating the same thing. Please call us back, we have trying to get in touch with you.Possibly we have the wrong number on file which I really hope is not the case. We are more than happy to reduce the price of the gutter cleaning!Please call us and thank you for your business.

I am rejecting this response because: Why should I pay for a roof inspection when I did not hire this company to do any thing to my house. We have no signed contract.We did not accept an estimate over the phone. We were told an estimate for cleaning and installing screens on the gutters would be done as soon as possible.The men showed up and climbed on our cedar roof without any permission to do anything. We would never accept an estimate over the phone for any job we needed done.When the men showed up to look at the gutters.The man  stated that the boss would not allow enough time for the ladders to be removed from the truck and they were only allowed to use the small ladder and could only check the roof by getting back on the roof. My wife refused to allow him to walk on the roof. I have never heard of a contractor allowing a worker to walk on a cedar shingle roof. Not even a roofer would allow this unless he specializes in cedar roofs.The worker stated that this happens all the time and has done several homes where the company was not actually hired to do the job.He said people usually pay the bill because they do not want to get into a he said she said situation.

this. Once again, I am terribly sorry. Dan the Gutter has been under my new management for six months due to the health conditions of my father, and I promise we can resolve this matter whether it be a free service if you decide to use us again or a refund. Please call the office and ask for myself, [redacted]. If I am not in, I assure you my assistant will get a hold of me and I will respond as quickly as possible. Dan the Gutterman has been enduring a full refit since I have held its office. Employees which were hired during management previous to mine are being re-evaluated and let go for this reason. Our company is much different now, I assure you. Our current gutter technicians would never let you down as they in this recent occurrence.Once again, I do apologize.
