Taking this job in was a mistake I admit and this particular car should have been taken off the road due to excessive rot to the rear subframe The car was dragged into our shop after the rear suspension had literally rotted off the car We sourced a used subframe in good condition Removing the subframe and necessary suspension components was not an easy task and heat was needed to draw out extremely rotted nuts and bolts In doing so, a piece of foam under the rear seat had ignited and set the cars interior up in flames All four shop employees rushed to get the car down off the lift to a managable height to fight the fire By the time the fire was estinguished the interior had suffered burns to seats, headliner, pillar and wiring harnessLuckily damage was not worse and the technicians under car werent injured We made necessary repairs to few feet of rear harness, and sourced an interior locally The interiors color differed slightly but it was all that was available The vehicles exterior was in very poor condition and had mismatched body panels Due to the condition we assumed the slight difference in interior color wouldnt be an issue All in all, we were trying to do the customer a favor attempting to fix this vehicle and keep it on the road for a little longer We did get the subframe installed and car is back in operational conditionWe thought this had been sorted and this complaint is a surprise to us Thank You, ***

Taking this job in was a mistake I admit and this particular car should have been taken off the road due to excessive rot to the rear subframe. The car was dragged into our shop after the rear suspension had literally rotted off the car. We sourced a used subframe in good
condition. Removing the subframe and necessary suspension components was not an easy task and heat was needed to draw out extremely rotted nuts and bolts. In doing so, a piece of foam under the rear seat had ignited and set the cars interior up in flames. All four shop employees rushed to get the car down off the lift to a managable height to fight the fire. By the time the fire was estinguished the interior had suffered burns to seats, headliner, pillar and wiring harness. Luckily damage was not worse and the technicians under car werent injured We made necessary repairs to few feet of rear harness, and sourced an interior locally. The interiors color differed slightly but it was all that was available. The vehicles exterior was in very poor condition and had mismatched body panels. Due to the condition we assumed the slight difference in interior color wouldnt be an issue. All in all, we were trying to do the customer a favor attempting to fix this vehicle and keep it on the road for a little longer. We did get the subframe installed and car is back in operational condition. We thought this had been sorted and this complaint is a surprise to us.
Thank You,
