Reference to the complaint for [redacted] ***Assigned ID [redacted] When the installation was completed by ***'s Carpet, [redacted] and [redacted] the installers received a hand shake from the customer and his reply was 'looks great'I received a call from Mr [redacted] saying that he was not happy with the seamI went to look at the seam and repaired the seam at that pointAgain when I was finished I was told that it looked okThen I received a call from Mr [redacted] stating that he wants me to come right now to repair his seamHowever with working with person (my son) and at this time of the year (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) that it was I assured Mr [redacted] that I would come back and take care of it like I normally do with my customers if there's an issuedThe number of times that Mr [redacted] called I answered all but and the reason that I didn't answer was because when I was explaining to him that I would come out when I had the timeAt that point Mr [redacted] hung up on meHe called back a few days later and asked me when I was comingAgain, I told him that I would call him when I can come upNow I see that he has issued a complaint to The Better BusinessI did tell Mr [redacted] that no seam is invisible however, he tells me now that I said that that seam would be sightless which I would never say.As far as telling Mr [redacted] to cover the spot with furniture or a rug it was only for the holiday's until I could get to himI wasn't saying that he should leave the rug or furniture in that spot foreverThe installer [redacted] told me on the way back to the office on the installation date that he overheard Mr [redacted] telling Mrs [redacted] that he wasn't happy with the color of the carpet that he chose

A seam is not 100% guaranteed on sightHowever, we guarantee the seam not to come apart under wear and tear As far as not coming up before the holidays, I did call and explained that I couldn't make it and that we would have to do something with his problem after the holidaysWhen I told *** that I would be up before Thanksgiving I had no idea that we had to rip out bathrooms all the way down to the studs and rebuild it. This is when the customer hung up on meThen he did call me before Christmas and said 'I'm home, come up now'I replied it's only my son and myself that does the work and at the time there was no way that I could come because of my full scheduleI just wish that he would understand that sometimes jobs back up because of unsighted repairs that take a few days in which causes us to be unable to come at time that they are wantingThe last time that I talked with *** I told him that I would be up after the holidays and take care of this problem

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to meI talked to *** and we agreed that he will replace the carpet in the family roomthe seam will be in the doorway not in the living area of the roomWe also agreed that we will be ok with the seam in the hall wayWaiting for further contact from ***
