Dan does a great jobHe is efficient and honestDoesn't screw around padding his hoursVery hard worker and will explain the problem and the options

I am rejecting this response because:I appreciate MrT***' letter and quick response, however I don't totally agreeI did not say that *** needed the old valve returned in order to honor the warrantyI have the old valve that MrT*** left (see atach A)He took the 5" long pipe with pressure relief valve and location to add the hot water valve(See atch C) What I did say was, "You left the old hot water valve and took with you the isolation assembly." There was now nothing to attach a new hot water valve toI just spoke with *** again Tuesday morning and they confirmed that the entire hot/cold isolation package had to be purchased from *** to get all the parts needed to fix the problem as they did NOT sell them separately(Please see atach B) This was at a cost of $I knew nothing about the possibility of a third party for the purchase of these parts until I read MrT***' responseAlso, please review attachment AA which reveals the water pressure release lineThis was installed by the new plumber as MrT*** failed to do soI consider this to be an important safety issue. If MrT*** was purchasing the part from a third party, why did he tell me one reason he hadn't returned to complete the repair was because *** sent the wrong part? Why didn't he tell me it's my responsibility to make the appointment for the periodic flushing? Just as it's "not his job to babysit all the water heaters," it's not my job to know all the idiosyncracies and nuances involved in maintaining the applianceThat's what I paid him forMrT*** may be a one man show now but he was not when my water heater was installedIt was his assistant that installed the water heaterOne man or two, shouldn't an ehtical businessman take a few minutes to offer a status report at least once in weeks, especially since I made the effort to contact him time and time again? So you see, had he left all the parts and kept me abreast as to why it was taking so long, I wouldn't have had to hire another plumber and incurred this additional costAll these things considered is why I am asking for full reimbursement of $My apologies for possibly using incorrect terminologyI'm not a plumber. Sincerely, *** ***

To whom it may concern,My name is Dan T***, Owner/sole proprietor of Dan's Plumbing LLCThis is in response to complaint filed by *** *** ***.Ms*** sent me a letter detailing her complaintsThis appears to be the same complaints that she detailed to Revdex.com. I do not dispute the time
frame to which she refersThere were a series of issues that kept me from promptly completing the repairNone of these issues was Ms***'s fault so I do not dispute the time frameHowever, there are a number of incorrect facts in her letter.1) The cost of the repair as performed by another plumber$for the part and $for the laboras I have been a *** service tech for a number of years I already knew *** will send out parts for ANY heater that is under warrantyThey DO NOT require old parts returned to validate warrantyA quick call to *** Tech Support confirmed thisTheir phone number is ###-###-####.2) I did not order my parts from ***I have used a third party to supply these parts on occasion sometimes due to cost or in the interest of getting a part immediately to shorten down time of the heaterThat will explain why *** did not show me ordering a part.3) Ms*** refers to an "isolation assembly"She also refers to a hot water valveThese are one in the sameI did indeed take the valve with meAs it did not need to be returned to ***. Additionally, Hot and cold valves CAN be purchased (or acquired under warranty) individuallySo she did not need to "purchase the entire hot and cold isolation assembly".4) Servicing the heater is required by *** to maintain warrantyThis involves a flush with appropriate vinegar or citrus liquidThere are varying opinions on length of time between flushesOften the heater itself will tell youGenerally one year is the common time framemonths has come up more recently as a means to create more service callsMyself, I use one year.Additionally, these heaters do not "blow up"When the flush hasn't been done in awhile the internal sensors (of which there are many) simply shut the device downI have run into this many times with customers that do not call to schedule flushesI am a one man show, no employeesI do not maintain an office staff to call and remind people to service their equipmentMost of my customers recognize this and simply call me each yearI do not feel it is my job to babysit every heater I put in5) The words "unethical" and "negligent" have been usedIn my experience negligence is usually found where there has been property damage or loss of serviceNeither the letter I received from Ms*** or the Revdex.com mentioned anything about damageAdditionally, "unethical" seems to describe unfair or illegal business practicesI have asked for no additional money for this repair, labor or parts, to include the temporary valve I installed for no chargeI ask you, was it "unethical" for the new plumber to charge parts and labor, for parts that are under warranty?I understand Ms*** is unhappy about the time frameBut, at no time was she without hot water, there has been no damage, and apparently the new plumber is a bit more "unethical" than I amNonetheless, as I consider myself to be a fair and honest businessman I will pay her the $for the "new plumber" laborI will not pay for the parts as they were indeed under warrantyThis being a "dispute resolution" I will wait to hear from you at the Bureau before mailing her my check.Thank you for your time, Dan T***, owner/soleproprietor
