I have discussed with *** in detail great detail as to how we have come to the conclusion that the damage was not done in our lotThe picture attached shows the crack in question, when you score the open metal surface it is apparent that
oxidation is on the surface because of the change in color of the metal in the scored areaoxidation is aluminums way of rusting if you willOxidation occurs faster when the metal is submersed in waterOur service manager performed this test for *** personallyevidently this test was not enough for ***, then brought his complaint to meThe second picture shows propeller damage consistent with hitting the bottom of the lakeThe clockwise rotation of the motor and propeller flung the hit object up and into the cavitation plate breaking itBeing that it was in the water and depending on the Ph level of the water oxidation began to formor Maybe it did not happen like this at all and it happened when the boat was dropped on the loading ramp while hastily launching it crushing the rear most part of the keel and drain plug inWe do a lot of insurance business here at the dealership and I can get a number of third party insurance adjusters to look at the damage and conclude the testing procedure was accurate and diagnosis correctI think *** should take me up on my original offer to prove to himThe oxidation exists on the break showing the time span since the break was considerable and did not happen in it brief stay hereI said to prove that point we would break the cracked piece off and The freshly broken piece would show no oxidationMy offer was if it looked different than the current open metal piece he'd pay us to repair it, if it looked the same We'd repair it at no costThis offer still stands, its reasonable and fair to both parties and either way the crack gets fixed*** can call for a specific time to bring the boat by to compete the more extensive test

I am rejecting this response because:
The responce does not address my complaintMy issue with the motor itself was that from an idle speed to 1/throtle the motor vibrates excessively and the slowest speeds exceed the the perameters I told the sales person I needed the motor to perform atI believe the sales person as an expert on this type of engine should have informed me that the motor would not perform the way I explained to him I needed it toSo my complaint is with the sales person either not being knowledgeable about the product he sells, or he sold me a motor he new would not perform to my needsIn either case I was sold a motor that I can't use
