I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I  received  this  letter that  you  sent to  me today  and I do not  accept this  as  an answer  for  several  reasons . One  this  is  a  letter  not  address to  me  but to  some on  by the  name of  [redacted] and  the  fact  that  this  happen in  2012 and  mine  happen  in 2013 of  November  so  this  mean they    did not t take the  time to  look at  my  letter and or my  name  or  take  my  matter seriously. My  Complaint   about  Dana  tires  is that they  careless blew up  the  motor  in my  car  when  I  took the  vehicle to  them   nothing  was wrong  with the  motor, they  change the  oil,  they  change the  coolant,  there is  no other  way the  oil could  have  gotten contaminate in the  car in  2 days  after  getting the  car back  from them . Scott  even admit[redacted] that  the  car was not  making  any noise  when  it was  taken into his  shop   and   after  2 days  it  knocking and then the  oil  got  contamina[redacted] . I  do  not  accept this because  one this  is not  my  complaint and it  is not  me and that was not my  issue  so  they  did not  even  think  enough of  my  circumstance about  the   car .Regards,

I have gathered some information from my salesman and mechanical techs and I will turn this over to [redacted] Insurance. They handle these kinds of liability issues for us and I will let them handle the details of what must be done. We want to be fair, but as you know there are several sides to look at. We have addressed this complaint previously about one year ago. We initially turned this matter over to our Liability Insurance carrier, [redacted] Insurance Co. They still carry over coverage. Their conclusion after investigation indica[redacted] that Dana Tire Co. was not at fault. We have included a...

copy of the letter we received from [redacted] that confirms their findings We have liability insurance to cover these kinds of situations; fortunately we don't have this experience very often. I have included information below that identifies the carrier and the agency as well as the individual at that office that handles our insurance account. We hope this response is sufficient.

Review: In November I took my car to Dana Tires, I am not really familiar with cars since my husband is the one that use to take care of the cars. On July 26th 2013 y husband past away and I needed to find someone to rely on to start taking my car to. I went to Dana and spoke with [redacted] I advise him the check engine light was on and I needed him to check on the car, he agreed . Told me and my son this would take about a hour so me and my son walked to get some breakfast. upon our return [redacted] told us that the number 1 sparkplug was missing and that he needed to take off manifold ( and it may or may not need to be replaced. I agree and told him to proceed with fixing the car. About 4 or 5 days later he called and advise the car was ready I went to get the car took it to admission and it past. Me and my son drove home park the car. The next day my son drove the car to [redacted] and on his way back to [redacted] he call and said mom the car is making a funny noise and he had pull over into a [redacted]. I called a tow tuck and meet my son and we wai[redacted] for the tow truck to get there. I had the tow truck leave the car at Dana Tires. Because this was about 8pm at night I left the vehicle and went to Dana's that morning when he open and explain to him the car is making a funny noise. He again had me leave the car and he kept it for about 5 more days and called me again to come and get the car. This time he told me it was the motor and that he had put some gas treatment and it calm it down but he thought I needed a motor. I then asked him why when I bought the car to him it was not making any noise and he agreed with me and said I don't know what happen he said the oil had gotten contamina[redacted] again I ask how the car was drove twice no one went under the hood of the car. As I drove the car home the motor went completely out and I had to push my son home. I called [redacted] again the next day to let him know and I was a bit emotional cause this car belong to my husband whom was no longer with us and that is why I was letting him do this work. He said he was going to look for a motor and would let me know something well after not hearing from [redacted] that week I had [redacted] come and get the car he has a full service shop and has done work on a [redacted] in the past for me . He tes[redacted] the car and with in 24 hrs. called and confirmed it was the motor he had a motor found with in having the car for 2days and had it order [redacted] on the order hand has still not called me since calling to get the vin number of the car 2 days after I last talked to him. Well I am now getting the car fixed but I am totally not satisfied with the service and treatment from Dana'sDesired Settlement: I am really looking for Dana's to refund my money I trus[redacted] him with my car and wai[redacted] patiently for him to get back with me and he has not called to this day! I think that he or one of his employees contamina[redacted] the oil and he does not want to take responsibility for it . He was polite until I wan[redacted] him to replace the motor. I paid him $2300 to fix my car and now have I to paid someone else 3300$ plus $1800 for Tranny work. Dana Tires drop the ball and just make it harder for people like me to trust mechanics.

Got an oil change and tire rotation and after driving a few miles down the road WITH MY KIDS!!! felt my tire coming off and when I pull over only 1 of 6 lugs are left!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter, [redacted], has had two experiences with this company and I have to tell you that they are the best people ever!!! She was stranded, along with her children, and needed a tire. She called them and they took care of her right away and had no problem accepting my payment over the phone for it. Then today, she has a flat and they just jump right on it and take care of it for her!! They are answers to prayers for her and, as her Mom, I can't tell you what that means to me considering the hard times she is going through right now. If ANYONE I know in Phoenix, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Glendale, Surprise -- here in Tucson even -- anywhere, I am going to tell them this company is THE BEST!!!
