Dancin' Queens Dance Studio Reviews (3)

It is unfortunate that [redacted] wanted to join an acting class instead of continuing with the dance classes that she was signed up for. We at Dancin' Queens Dance Studio do pride ourselves in our customer service reputation. We offer multiple choices in how one can register and the [redacted] chose a payment in full in order for them to receive a discount. Almost all of our customers are recommended by a friend or relative and in consideration of this, we also offer a referral discount. An additional discount, on top of the payment in full discount, was received by the [redacted] because they were referred by more than one of our families that continue to be members of Dancin' Queens.  This is a very family friendly environment and a small business. I do my best to accommodate each and every customer as I believe that they are what allows our community to thrive. We have policies in place, of which were signed and agreed to. It clearly states our policies in our registration form. I do believe that I have tried in good faith to accommodate the [redacted] with offering a store credit. Our policy clearly states that it is a 10 month program of which it is non-refundable.

[redacted] was registered as a student with us.  She was enrolled in our hip-hop class on Thursday and our Ballet/Tap/Jazz class on Friday.  Our program is a 10 month session which runs from Sept-June.  This class...

was full and became a "wait-list only" class.  Unfortunately, we can not add new students in the month of February as we prepare for an end of year recital, which takes place in June.  We do have a contract, which was signed, and I have attached a copy of it. I offer 3 methods for payment. It can be paid monthly (a person comes in and manually pays tuition), they can have it automatically debited to their credit card each month or they can pay in full for the 10 months.  If they choose to pay in full, they do receive a discount on their tuition which was the case in this scenario.  They chose to take advantage of the discount, and paid in full up front.  We even give until the end of the first month of classes to take advantage of the discount, for students and parents to make a sound decision.  The DiMaria's registered, starting off with a monthly plan, and then chose to convert to pay in full with receiving the discount, on September **, 2014.  [redacted] came for September, October, November & December.  In January, I received a phone call from her mother advising that [redacted] "wanted to join an acting class with her cousin" and the time conflicted with her Thursday Hip-Hop class.  She asked for a refund for the remainder of the session.  I advised that there were no refunds but, as a courtesy, I would give her a store credit for the hip-hop.  It ended up being $16.00 for the remainder of the season.  I informed her that I would I apply the credit to her account, of which she could use at a later time. Her mom advised that was fine, that she enjoyed the class but, really wanted to join this class with her cousin.  January *, 2015, a $16 credit was applied to her account. A few weeks went by and [redacted]'s mom contacted us again to let us know that [redacted] "just didn't want to return anymore".  She again requested a refund at this time.  After a few calls of missing each other, I sent an e-mail.  I have attached a copy of my e-mail, which was sent on 3/*/15.  In the e-mail I advised that there were no refunds but once again, in good faith, I offered her a store credit for $304 which could be used for any program that we offer.  I never heard back from anyone. Never once was I informed of any issue or problems with [redacted] in the class.  The Hip-Hop class had 1 teacher and 2 assistants and the Ballet/Tap/Jazz class had 1 teacher and 1 assistant.  I was extremely shocked to receive this notice from the Revdex.com almost 7 months later. Thank you, Jacqueline
