I needed a few jobs completed at my house. I saw his add and gave him a call. He was out same day to give estimate. He told me he would be back to complete job in 2 days. He came out on time and completed our jobs. It was nice to see him keep his word and get the jobs done at a fair price. I would recommend Dan for your home projects.
Dan, is a very skilled craftsman and a dedicated professional, I am happy with the work he and his team did for our three rental properties. Dan installed counter tops for one of our properties and replaced house sidings and a front door for another. He and his team also did extensive exterior work for two of our properties. His pricing is fair and his jobs are done in good workmanship and completed more than on time, he also went above and beyond in addressing some extra small issues out of work scope. Thank you Dan, for the work you did for us, you are certainly our trusted handyman down the road.
This company left my house in disarray. Started a job and then pulled off and stated he was not coming back. He took my 650.00 deposit.
On 5/1 I contacted Dan after I found his ad in the Everyday Business to provide me a bid for replacing trim and baseboards in my house He agreed to replace the baseboards and the trim in all the rooms in the house except the bedrooms and replace 4 doors for 1000.00 On 5/11 Dan and his employee *** showed up and we reviewed the job. Dan acted surprised and stated he needed to remeasure the job stating "I added more work". The job was the same but he measured again and then quoted me 1565.00 for the trim, baseboards and 4 doors which I agreed too. On 05/11 we went to *** and picked out supplies and they started the job. *** came to me and stated they were short supplies. I stated Dan was the one who measured and made the error. *** stated he was 32 pieces short to complete job. I agreed to purchase the remaining supplies on 05/12 in the morning. Dan in the meantime showed back up to the job after being gone most of the day and stated he has another job he needs to start and can he do the doors some other time. I told him don't worry about the doors and just finish the trim and baseboards. I sent a text to Dan confirming the price minus the doors and he stated the price went up to 2000.00 now. I explained the measurements you took were the same so whey the increase. He explained he measured wrong and would honor the quote he gave me. I insisted on a contract because he did not do one and he insisted the quote only included 3 doors not 4. He agreed to complete contract although kept complaining he was losing money. We both agreed for him to complete the job for 1300.00 and he wanted 650.00 up front for a deposit. A cash deposit of 650.00 was given to him and there were 2 witnesses to this (my roommate *** and his worker ***). The morning of 05/12 I attempted to order the remaining supplies and they were not available at 1 store. I told Dan I would travel to several stores and pick up supplies. After I got the supplies he stated he needed to work and started on a new job. He wanted to come and finish on 05/13. I told him I had appointments on Wednesday and he agreed to finish the job and not start a new job. He then sent me a text and stated he was not coming back to complete the job. I told him he had a contract to finish job and he refused to come back. The job is less than 50% complete. The majority of the trim work is incomplete, trash all over my front yard from removed wood.
I want a refund of the 650.00 and I will have someone else complete the job.

the first thing I will say she never paid me the job was 80% done I feel she took advantage of us in the end of the day she kicked us out the house I could go on about the job but that's enough so before I told her I am not finishing the job I called the Revdex.com before canceling the job and explain
my situation she knew how proud I am being A+ the job was 400 lf she added 600 lf more she tried to take advantage of us she was very clear she added double of the amount of what we agreed we did our best she told us we was good im sorry I don't work for free
400 lf at 3.00 lf comes out to be $1200 she added 600 more that would come out to be $3000 I tried to reason with her meet her half way in the end I got nothing I had to pay my guys and pay to trash all the base board to the dump if you have any question call me please

I have attached the text messages that prove no one "kicked him out of my home" He refused to come back and finish the job and stated " the Revdex.com advised me not to go back"
50% of the total cost of the job was provided to Dan in cash in the amount of $650.00 I have 2 witnesses to this transaction that were in the home.
The contract clearly states he would complete the entire job for 1300.00. IF he decided later that was not enough money this was not agreed upon in any signed contract. I also have the text messages in addition to signed contract were he agreed to $1380.00-$80.00 for the tool I purchased for him to complete job in full.
Dan and his men also provided a false statement and and left trash all over my yard. I cleaned up the trash and my new contractor took everything to the dump and he will testify to this. He left his supplies at my home which included supports for painting and these were also left in the front yard.
The job he started also had multiple errors which required the work to be completely redone. Trim was cut with an improper blade leaving rough edges on all corners. Baseboards were cut in the middle of the wall leaving large imperfections in the middle of a room. I am still requesting a refund
for the full deposit as work will need to completing redone.

first and for most the job was 80% done my verbal contract a 3.00 l.f. no matter how many ft there was it was 3.00 lf that included going to the store picking up the supply we removed the base board and the door trim and install new baseboard the change out was because of the 6 or seven dogs destroyed them I installed new base board and trim painted as we did our work she end adding more rooms to do she also added more doors to change out have text on our conversation she is a conartis she took advantage of us because I didn't make a con tract in the beginning just in the end of the 80% I had her make a contract because ill end up doing the entire house she has not given me a check or cash she got the job for free and I had to pay two of my guys day out of my company and she wants to get money out of me on top of it I see her complaint shes lying my work is the best she even told me so shes mad because I didn't finish it because she add twice the work we agreed upon I call Revdex.com telling the Revdex.com that this lady trying to black male me by ruining my reputation that im so proud of I have text of her saying so

The previous statement by Dan is unclear and lacks and evidence to back his false statements. My previous statements are clear and are backed by evidence which include pictures, text messages and the signed contract. Additionally I have attached a summary from a reputable contractor who has been in business or over 25 years who is repairing and completing the work. As you can see from his summary the work is "the worse he has ever seen", "60% of the work has to be redone due to errors from Dan D". The cost of added supplies, labor and dump fees is now totally $1700.00.
Dan's statements continue to be filled with false claims that are not backed by any evidence.
The summary attached documents the state of my front yard when the contractor, Sam, arrived to my home. Dan lied in previous statements about taking trash to the dump.
The total for resolution is now $1700.00 plus the 650.00 deposit for a total of $2350.00

Finish installing base molding and door casing started by another company: The work is very sub par, Ive had to redo 60% of work done by previous contractor. Previous contractor installed floor molding before door casings, Due to moldiing being installed out of sequence most measurements were wrong resulting in removing floor trim and reinstalling. Most floor trim was caulked in, ( also out of sequence ) so will have to be caulked and painted again. I estimate the customer loss in materials to be approx $600,00, I estimate the customer loss in labor to be approx $950.00, dump fees $150.00
Before I could start the project I had to haul away a load of old trim that was laying in front of the customers home..... full of nails. I have been in business 24 yrs. This is some of the worst work I've ever seen.
