I took my Four Winds motorhome to JDL trailer sales because I lost the 12 volt supply from my house batteries to my motorhome. [redacted] has been in the business for scores of years and is very familiar with Four Winds motorhomes. I was called a couple of hours after they opened and was told my motorhome was ready. When I was handed the invoice I almost passed out in shock with what I was seeing. [redacted] charged me $349.00 ($115.00 for 3 hours labor and $4.00 for a fuse). When I asked him why so much his reply was it took 3 hours to find a hidden breaker, and I told him BS and I could have paid a professional electrician $40.00 an hour and he told me take it somewhere else. Fact is this so called hidden breaker is less than 3 feet from the batteries in plain site on the inside of the frame rail. Two 12 volt wires from the batteries go in one side of the box and out the other side to the motorhome distribution center. This is a 1 hour or less fix even by a novice( much less a RV expert).
