Item arrived broken on arrival. Photos and videos as evidence was provided. The studio will not refund or replace the item.
As we discussed with the customer in our email correspondence, as well as was clearly stated in the post card place in the shipping box the item arrived in (see attached), we ask customers to open their Edition immediately to inspect for damage. The reason for this request is due to the time limitations our shipper, ***, allows for damage claims to be filed. After 30 days the studio is not able to file a claim, and is not able to recoup the cost for the damage caused in transit. Our next step for customers who are respectful in their communications - though we cannot issue a refund - is to offer to place them on a VIP pre-sale list for the next Edition release so they can jump the line for the next flash sale.
If Yutaka would like to ship the item back to us, we are willing to make an exception and will issue a refund for the cost of the item at $650 once we receive it back.

According to my legal adviser and my consumer rights, the retailers warranty is nullified if the product arrives damaged, defective or broken. Due care was not provided to ensure that the product arrives in one piece.
