10/29 Auction, Online Bid NOT accepted, Lot sold below bid
After a number of years as a customer of your various Auctions I got the following unpleasant surprise today.
I submitted a bid of $3,00 on item # 24 for your 10/29 Auction online on 10/26 that was acknowledged online at that time. I found out late Friday, 10/25 that I had an MRI scheduled the morning of 10/29 and it was unlikely that I would be home in time to take part in the live bidding .Therefore I increased my bid to $3000 on 10/26
What a surprise I got when I found that an message had been sent from Kelleher Auctions the morning of 10/29 that my bid was TOO LATE. On further check I find that lot #24 was listed as SOLD for $2500.
I realize your auctions are very large but have two questions regarding this transaction:
1.The bid was recognized online when I placed it, but why not elsewhere in your system?
2.I can assume that no one works on weekend but, there was still a two day wait before the Auction. How do you lose or miss new bids for two or three days?
I hope you understand my frustration with this issue.
