We determined the cause of the noise was from the tires and she left the dealership at that timeIn early October Ms*** contacted your office stating she was having issues with her vehicle making noiseAs a form of goodwill we invited Ms*** back to the dealership to perform another inspection to her vehicle. On October 3, Ms*** brought the vehicle in and at that time the vehicle had 87,miles on itWe noted that the exhaust was a little loud and as a form of goodwill we repaired the exhaust and changed the oil at no charge to the customerOn November 19, Ms*** again returned to the dealership stating there was a noise when brakingThe vehicle had 89,miles on it at that timeWe inspected the vehicle and found that the rotors had warped and were in need of replacementAlthough the inspection of the vehicle was done at no charge to the customer we cannot be responsible for the repair costHere at Chevrolet of Homewood our customer’s satisfaction is of the utmost importance to usMs*** purchased a year old used vehicle with 86,miles onThe vehicle was purchased as is and as a form of goodwill after the purchase we made inspections as requested and even repaired a couple items at no chargeShe drove the vehicle almost 3,miles and then experienced an issueThe condition is considered wear and tear and there was no warranty implied at the time of purchasePrior to sale of our vehicles we inspect and repair any know safety issues at that timeNo safety deficiencies were noted prior to the sale of this vehicleWe feel badly that Ms*** is having an issue with her vehicle and would love to offer to repair her vehicle at a discounted rate as a form of goodwill to our customer

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
*** *** 1st of all the noise I was told was tire noise right after purchase which mean they didn't even check the brakes and rotor and I did express a shake in the steering but that wasn't check, I feel insulted that Homewood Chevy would think that I put brake pads on bad rotors when in fact they sold it like that2nd when the vehicle was brought in for the exhaust I was told the Used Car Manager was having the vehicle totally inspected if that was the case why didn't they find the leaking shocking in the back and bad rotors and felt it when they drove itWhy is it I had to pay to have someone check it out and pay of leaking shocks and brand new tires because the tires were so bad that if I stop on a raining day I would slideOffering me a discount rate of $ because not only does the front need rotors so do the back is a insult and what they got fit on the exhaust is back to making that noise like it loose Yes I drove over 3,miles but research shows As a general rule, rotors should be replaced every 30,000-70,miles meaning when they sold this vehicle the rotor were already bad when they took the trade in from the previous owner and someone placed brakes pads on themThis car is a nightmare and I am researching Lemon laws regarding these issuesI had used cars in the past when I first started driving with higher miles and never did I have to start off the 1st 2-months spending money like I am nowI currently have that runs better than this brought from *** *** Chevy who I guess at that time cared about safety and their customersThis dealer promises one thing and does another and even admitted this is not a good vehicle when Mr*** made the statement we wanted to put you in something but keep it about 12-month and comeback and we will put you in something better. If they were the last dealership on the earth I would get a bus card and ride the bus. Let me say this as well when I say they promise one thing and do another, sold my son and daughter *** one key kept telling them to comeback and get the second one they never had it so they paid for a 2nd (chip) keyGave them the same line come back after 12-months give you a good deal they went back this year and every promise they said didn't happen so they walked away. I in the customer service business and we put our customer first and pride ourselves to stand by our word and now try to justified a messed up situation . It the customer that keep us going. So feeling sorry for me just frustrate me, I don't need their sorry I need to treated like a valued customer. I would never refer anyone to this dealership and wouldn't spend another penny thereDon't Be sorry do something It I have already spend over about $you should do the same and the exhaust piece that came off didn't cost half of much. I sure I am not the only person with issues I just one of the few that will not take it sitting downOne good thing I like was *** in service who no longer works there probably because of so many returned vehicle she cared about the customersvalue customer ***.com/when-should-you-replace-your-brake-pads-and-rotors/As a general rule, break pads should be replaced every 10,000-20,miles, while The noise usually mean your break pads are worn and need to be replacedIf you continue to drive with worn pads, your rotors can become damagedpads before they become too worn, you can actually extend the life of your rotors

there was never extended warrenty offered. The fact the car has bent frame and frame damage I dont understand how it can pass inspection. The car was also sold without inspection and inspection was done a week after the car was bought. I made multiple phone calls. I was put on hold and hung up on multiple times. I even got told the car is your problem now since it was bought as is. Even tho I made a complaint to sales manager via texts and phone calls which I have stored on my phone. The front end was a major conplaint from the start the dealer kept saying nothing wrong which in fact the frame is bent and is a saftey issue when you put small children in the car. This dealer does not care about customet satisfaction at all. I guess I need to take my call log and text proof to the attorney generals office since the dealership refuses to fix the problem and lie.

[redacted]28   [redacted]   I am sending over the resolution to the complaint we received.         We installed a...

new boiler for [redacted] in June of 2016. The installation included two [redacted] a new circulation pump but leaving the two zone valves (each leading to one of the Honeywell T-STATS[redacted] contacted my office with a zoning problem the following winter of 2016/2017.) At that time she had already brought in a friend to service the boiler for the issue.          I arrived the next evening with my service manager and we ran the boiler through many cycles and it was determined that there were two problems. The first problem was that [redacted] was shutting off the boiler by switching one of the T-STATS to off. We explained to [redacted]l that she only had to lower the set point on the T-STAT and not turn it off. She did not want to operate the system in this manner. The second problem we found was a faulty zone valve. The zone valve was an existing part in her system. I offered to replace the valve for [redacted] at no charge, parts and labor included. I informed her I could schedule this work with 24hr. I never heard back from [redacted]l that evening.          In closing, I did all I could to keep [redacted] a satisfied customer. I offered her prompt, professional, licensed service at no cost to her which she refused. My offer still stands as our goal at Custom Air Systems is customer satisfaction.

To whom it may concern:My name is [redacted] and I called Ms. [redacted] and we agreed to have her bring the vehicle to the service department on Monday November 14th so we can inspect the vehicle AGAIN to ensure that there is not any safety issues with her 2010 GMC Terrain. I will email you and let...

you know the outcome ASAP!Respectfully-[redacted]

To whom it may concern:On or around July 7th 2016 Sharon [redacted] brought her 2006 [redacted] Vue to our dealership to have the engine oil changed. We completed the oil change service and returned the vehicle to the customer. On...

July 19th 2016 the customer returned stating oil was leaking from the engine and asked if we could inspect the vehicle to determine the cause of the leak. We inspected the leak and did not find anything evident at that time. The customer returned again on August 8th 2016 complaining of an oil leak. We inspected the vehicle and found that the engine oil pan drain plug was leaking and the seal had eroded from age. We replaced the drain plug at no charge to the customer and also informed her verbally that the threads are worn and the oil pan may need to be replaced. On Friday August 12th 2016 the customer was quoted a price of $590.00 which she felt was too much for the repair. The service advisor consulted our service manager Nate [redacted] and as a form of goodwill to our customer he stated we would discount the price to $380.00. We regret that Ms. [redacted] is having this issue with her vehicle but as cars age, parts do wear out. At this time we feel offering the customer a discount of over $200.00 is a fair resolution to this problem.Respectfully-Robert [redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/09) */
While this is true that on 04/13/2015 Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle in for a oil change and tire rotation at that time the vehicle had 27,154 miles on it. Mr. [redacted] then returned to us on 08/19/2015 with 35,790 miles on the vehicle and had a...

complaint of a noise. We inspected the vehicle and found the tires to be cupped and feathering which is an indication of a wheel alignment issue. We recommended that all four tires be replaced and a wheel alignment be done. Mr. [redacted] stated that another dealer in [redacted] advised him the tire was not seated properly. I'am unclear what that means, if he is saying the tire was not on the wheel properly or the wheel was not installed properly. We never removed the tire from the wheel and there is only one way to install the wheel to the hub. That is by install the wheel lug nuts securly to the hub which was done and done properly. The issue we see is an alignment problem and we would be more than willing to assist Mr. [redacted] with the repair. I would offer Mr. [redacted] that if he purchased the tires and a wheel alignment we would mount and balance the tires at no charge as a form of goodwill for this customer.
Thank you
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/09/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Even though we are not happy with replacing four tires on a 2014 vehicle with 36000 miles, Homewood Chevy did work with us. We were given a discount on the tires and mounting and labor costs were waived. Homewood Chevy could not find any cause for the cupping of our tires besides the alignment, therefore we replaced all four tires.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/09/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
In response to Chevrolet, there was no loss of communication, only disrespect, dishonesty and a waist of my time.I was very unhappy with my experience with this dealership but thankfully when this situation was put in the proper hands everything worked out. When I went in to have service done I was given five star treatment,I am very satisfied with the outcome.
Thank you

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/21) */
Dear Mr. [redacted] & The office of the Revdex.com
Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu with approx. 28,000.

vehicle HAS INFLATABLE CAN SYSTEM AS PER FACTORY SPEC! jack not missing. His income was reported as stated by Mr. [redacted].
It is true, Mr. [redacted] was told NOT to leave his vehicle in parking lot, for Tow company goes thru lot nitely.
It s true Mr. [redacted] was told he could not unwind the deal,It is specified at purchase and is in his contract. It also is in State of Illinois Statute. however the dealership will stand by EVERYTHING he was told as for as repairs on vehicle.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/09/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't accept their response because it is a lie. No one told me this was a just-traded-in vehicle and that I would have to bring it back for inspection. The items I said were missing are missing and the others items I stated in my compliant is true. As far as me being told about a tow truck going through the lot nightly is also a lie. I was told "if you leave it (the car)here, we will tow it back to your resident". I feel this dealership is full of dishonest people who stretch the truth, no respectable dealership would SELL and FINALIZE a deal on a car without an inspection first. How can they (Homewood Chevrolet) place a VALUE on the vehicle without inspecting it?

Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/09/29) */
Dear Office of Revdex.com And Mr. [redacted].
The customer was told !
They knew the vehicle just came in , WE told them the work that needed to be done, and also told them that we would inspect the vehicle,.
The value of the car is estimated, based on work we feel its needs. Our goal is to make this customer happy! In addition this vehicle is under FACTORY WARRANY It has only 28,000 miles.
We want to make the customer Happy. We will stand behind this vehicle. Please us do it!
Thank you

To whom it may concern:It is true on or around December 22nd 2016 Richard [redacted] purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox. Chevrolet of Homewood did inspect the vehicle for safety issues before the vehicle was delivered for retail. We SAFETY inspect tires, brakes, turn signals, seat belts, exterior...

lighting, fluids and suspension components before cleaning the vehicle for delivery. Vehicles are NOT delivered or released until ALL SAFETY requirements have been met. We invite the customer back after a week so if there are any complaints or issues we can resolve them immediately. On December 29th Mr. [redacted] brought the Equinox into the Service Department and we replaced the hatch release pad and switch (NON SAFETY ISSUE/NO CHARGE) also the radio antennae was missing and we replaced it (NON SAFETY ISSUE/NO CHARGE). These repairs were done at NO CHARGE. On January 4th 2017 Mr. [redacted] brought his Equinox into service with a service engine soon light on. We inspected the vehicle and determined that 4 fuel injector seals were leaking and we replaced 4 fuel injectors and seals ( NON SAFETY ISSUE/ NO CHARGE). Mr. [redacted] returned to the Service Department on January 7th 2017 with a service engine soon light back on and 1,000 miles put on the vehicle. We determined that the high pressure fuel pump had internal failure, We replaced high pressure fuel pump to repair his vehicle. ( NON SAFETY ISSUE/ NO CHARGE). In addition to the "goodwill repairs" we also provided a courtesy loaner vehicle (AT NO CHARGE) during every repair. I also would like to remind Mr. [redacted] that he was offered and declined an extended warranty. This vehicle was sold AS-IS AND SHOWN.Respectfully-Robert [redacted]
