Daniel Small Construction

Review: I hired Daniel Small Construction Company because Mr. Small stated that he is a licensed general contractor and could finish the job in 2 weeks after materials are received. I paid him in total of $17k to fix up my elderly mother's bathrooms to be more senior-friendly. The job was started on 10/8/2015 and hasn't been completed even to this date. Whatever work he was able to complete was very poor in quality and workmanship. Instead of replacing items that we discussed, he refurbished them. I have contracted Mr. Small a few times asking him to finish the job but he continued to ignore my requests.

Out of frustration, I've contacted the CA General Contractor Board to see if Mr. Small is a licensed general contractor. Turns out he is currently not licensed and his license expired in 2007. All of his proposal and invoice papers have his license number indicating that he is licensed when he is not.Desired Settlement: I would like to collect my payment from Mr. Small since he was not able to deliver the service I requested. It was not completed and not completed on time.
