We have been in contact with the customer multiple times regarding the balance on the account from date of service 10/12/Unfortunately, the Insurance had changed since the last visit in our office on 3/22/and we did not receive this information until the parent checked in at the front window on the day of the appointmentWe did a rough estimate for parent's out-of-pocket expense due to not having history on how the insurance would pay since we are not preferred providers for the new insurance plan.? Our office policy requires a one day cancellation noticeIf not cancelled within the required time there is a $per appointment fee appliedThere were text appointment reminders sent out on the following dates: 10/3/2017, 10/9/2017, and 10/10/All the texts stated to confirm the appointment and to notify us if there are any changes in insuranceThe parent chose to keep the appointments with the estimate we gave herThe parent signed the children in on the day of the appointment and she paid the estimate she was given.? Once the insurance paid we were able to update the group coverage book that gives a better out-of-pocket estimate for the responsible partyA statement went out on 10/24/and 12/1/The parent called on 12/12/regarding her bill and was very upsetThe parent said she will not pay any additional money than what she had paid on the day of the appointmentThe parent wanted to speak with the doctor, but the doctor does not take calls regarding financesThe balance was from the difference of what we estimated Insurance to pay as to what they actually paid.? We offered to split the balance into a couple of payments, but parent refusedWe have had multiple conversations with the parent on the following dates: 12/12/17, 1/4/18, 2/13/18, 2/14/18, 3/13/18, 3/14/On 3/14/the parent called and said we were crooks and are not professionalThe parent spoke with an attorney who said that we have to accept a payment, so the parent gave us credit card information and said to run it for $every month until the account is paid in fullWe told the parent that we would also consult an attorney for our legal rights as a practice.? I, Wendy Pearce, called the mother back and told her that I will not run her card for the $The mother started yelling me saying that I have to post her paymentI apologized and told her have a good day and good-bye.? We have attached copies of the text messages parent received from our confirmation service, LighthouseWe have also included copies of our signage in the waiting room that describe our policies on insurance and cancellations.?
