I have been contacted by the Dayton, Ohio
Payco office on Thursday, January 12, I was assured a replacement check would be issued. On Friday, January 2017, I did receive a replacement check in the amount of $460.00, true to their wordTherefore, I consider this matter handled quickly and professionallyThank you to all parties involved, sincerely,

Mr. [redacted] signed an agreement to allow PayCo to be his payee. Our policy states that as payee, once assigned, we will pay rent, utilities and provide spending money in an effort to assist the client with staying current on bills and to avoid running out of spending money during the month. Mr. [redacted] is...

asking PayCo to release all of his funds which is against our policies and procedures. While we  understand that he wants all of his money, PayCo would not be fulfilling our duty as a payee to release such a large amount without specific permission from our management team and Mr. [redacted]'s VA case manager. PayCo is a voluntary service and we have recommended Mr [redacted] discontinue services with PayCo and find another payee whose rules may be more flexible.  Furthermore, Mr. [redacted] is refusing to cooperate with the policies he initially agreed to via a meeting that ended with a signed contract agreeing to the terms he is now unhappy with. We are very clear on our policies and procedures as we  know that being a payee can be a difficult situation. We try to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability realizing that there are times when we cannot accommodate every request if it violates policies and procedures. In this case, Mr. [redacted] is asking us to violate our policies. As of this report, we have not denied this request, only notified him that we have to get specific permission to release a large amount of money at one time. Mr. [redacted] did not want to wait to see if the request would be approved. Only until it has been approved by the appropriate entities, will we be allowed to release the funds in question due to the large amount.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

Thank you for the opportunity to explain and resolve this issue. Regarding this specific case, the clients' rent check is mailed on the 1st of each and every month with the exception of when the 1st of the month falls on a weekend or holiday. In those cases, the rent check will go out the business...

day prior to the weekend/holiday. However, in this instance the rent check was post dated and mailed on the 1st without incident. Generally, the post office delivers mail within 2 to 3 business days, but that obviously did not happen. Unfortunately, not only is this a postal service issue, it is one that is beyond our control. We have followed our policy and mailed the check when we said we would, this issue is that the post office was "late" in delivering it. We regret that the check did not arrive as quickly as the client would have liked, and if we were able to control the outcome of this issue, we certainly would have. If there is any further issues that have stemmed from the slow delivery, we are happy to look into it and find an amicable resolution.

Thank  you for bringing this situation to our attention. We will need to further research this matter to confirm that the action taken was appropriate. We will be making contact with Mr. [redacted] withing the next 1-2 business days to resolve this issue.
