We recently called Daniel's with a plumbing emergency, and the technician, Scott, called right away to let us know when he would arrive and drove up a short time later. He did a great job and provided excellent customer service. Chris and Charles also provided exceptional heating / air conditioning services for us last year.

What a great company!! My wife and I are selling our old house and I needed to make sure the gas fireplace worked. I didn't know anything about it. I called several companies and when I asked how much it was to come out everyone said $89. I couldn't believe it. I finally got a hold of Daniel's and the lady said $69. I don't make enough money where I can sneeze at 20 bucks so I said sign me up and a technician showed up the same day.
Charles showed up right on time came in and started my fireplace up with no problem. He explained how everything worked and why I had two switches on the wall. I had read online that coming out and repairing anything would end up costing 4 to $500. I was thinking I would have to take out the fireplace and board it all up. Haha
Charles finished, cleaned up, and was off.
Save yourself time and energy and just go to this company first. You won't be disappointed.

Technician came out to do a video inspection on June 28 and we are still waiting for an estimate to see what the repairs would cost. Very disappointed in the company.

Efficient, friendly and fast service.

Came home Friday night and found my water heater leaking. Called TLC, said they were booked so called Albuquerque Plumbing and waited for over an hour and then called Daniel's. This guy came over and told me what I already knew. I needed a new water heater since it's original in an 18 year old house. Charged me over $180 to tell me this and asked him what it'd cost to have it replaced then. He told me $3500. Needless to say I balked. He then said it would be cheaper if I waited till Monday and would send me a quote through email. I got the quote and it was for $1750, like I said on Monday, meaning I wouldn't have hot water during the winter for another three days. I cleared my head and having talked with a concerned friend, they suggested calling someone else we know. I did and they showed up Saturday. We went to Lowe's, bought a brand new heater, drip pan, and tubing for $450(with a vet discount) and paid $300 to install. He wanted less, but I gave him more because it was the right thing. I talked with the reps at Daniel's about this through email, telling them this wasn't right. How could they justify charging me $3500 initially, then half three days later. Didn't get a real answer. I even said if I knew the owner, or one of their techs, they'd probably do it on the side, without the overhead. So I just asked for what is right. Refund the $180 because there was no real work done and the guy was there all of 5 minutes, tops, telling me my leaking water heater needed to be replaced that any person with an IQ of 50 could tell. So I get calls and emails to try and talk about it, and when I answer saying I'm more than positive I'm going to have to eat $180 for nothing, I get another email with an invoice attached to it. I even went so far as to tell them I was in the market of having a new furnace and refridgerated unit put in my house to replace my current swamp cooler before the prices get crazy, but I can see I'd have to sell a kidney or a lung to pay Daniel's prices. Needless to say, I will NEVER call Daniel's again for anything. Totally disappointed and I would never refer!

We appreciate your feedback about your recent service call. This appointment was set up after hours on Friday night, the dispatch charges were quoted upfront and agreed upon when the appointment was set up. With a water heater leaking call, it is impossible to determine if repairs or replacement is the best option until we look at the job. Unfortunately there are additional charges for after hour emergency service and installations. Our owners and employees are not allowed to do side jobs while employed for the company. We are a licensed bonded, and insured company that offers warranties on our service and installations.

Called Daniel's for problem with pilot light staying lit. No service required but pilot went out shortly after they left. When they returned they told me the pilot assembly needed to be replaced. I was billed for a second visit they classified as an "unrelated problem." Should not have been billed for second visit. I will not use Daniel's for this repair and would not recommend this business to others.

This is a generic response that does not address why was charged for a second visit when the problem wasn't fixed.

I've become responsible for maintaining a house. I haven't had a house with a swamp cooler and didn't know what was involved in shutting it down for the winter. With winter approaching I wanted professional help. I was scheduled for the first appointment of the day and even though it was snowing out in the east mountains the Daniels heating/cooling technician arrived very promptly. He even had to get up on the roof to close a damper on the swamp cooler in the snow! I felt he was very thorough in shutting down the swamp cooler and making sure the furnace was started up and running. The technician was very pleasant even though the working conditions were poor. I really appreciated his attitude and the work he did!

I made an appointment for a yearly heater maintenance and Ken C was very knowledgeable about the heaters and boiler I have in my house and what I should be looking for if the boiler ever needed to be repaired which it most likely will need. I will definitely use Daniel’s again in the future.

Outstanding Customer Service. Both service technicians were friendly, outstanding service and very knowledgeable.

The web site claims free estimates for repair. The individual came to the house and spent less than 7 minutes, no estimate for repair was given. Instead a remark claiming that $250.00 was needed for two hours of digging to look for a leak we already established was outside the home.We have a hole dug in an attempt to locate a leak.We know the leak is on the main line from the meter to the home. We were looking for an estimate of repair for the leak and were charged $74.00 for less than seven minutes of standing and looking at the hole. Unacceptable.

I am rejecting this response because: The apology is accepted but the advantage you took to bill $74.00 for nothing is unethical and must be corrected.

We offer free estimates for installations and equipment replacements. All our service calls are $69 for the trip. That was agreed when the appointment was set up.

I am rejecting this response because: clearly a lie as my fiancee was charged 74.00 and was not advised that there would be a charge until the person showed up. We did not asked for installations only an estimate for repair. We based our decision on the internet ad stating they offer free estimates for repair .

Here is a screen shot taken a few minutes ago from the current web site

I am very impressed with Daniel's Heating & Air Conditioning! My first day in my new home I realized that something was wrong with my swamp cooler. Daniel's sent out a serviceman the very day I called & fixed the problem. Two months later I was having problems with the cooler again: 83 degrees inside, 90 degrees outside! The office called to say that there had been a couple of emergencies that day & could I wait until Monday. I explained the situation & Brandi immediately promised to get someone to me. Charles arrived within the hour, diagnosed a nonfunctioning pump, replaced the pump with one he had in his truck, & the temperature dropped three degrees while we were taking care of the paperwork. I have found this company to be extraordinarily responsive & would recommend them to anyone.

Glad to hear your cooler is up and working for you. We are here to service all your HVAC and Plumbing needs. We appreciate your positive feedback.

When the boiler in our new home went out we searched for a reputable business to trouble shoot the problem, estimate the work and cost to fix it and do the repair.
Daniels sent Max out to do all three. I was very impressed with the professionalism Max has toward his job, his company and my home.
Max worked with his boss to get the best price, accurately diagnose the problem and then work with me scheduling his repair. The job that was done is very good. The old boiler came out, the area was cleaned and prepared for the new boiler and the mess and old boiler was hauled off. This was an expensive repair and I shopped around for the contractor to do the job. I feel that I got the best repair and a very competitive price for the installation of a top of the line boiler. They did not skimp on the boiler, the work or the parts.
Highly recommend Daniels and will continue to use them for work at my house.
Thank you Max

Daniel's did a great job re-piping my house. Max was professional and completed the job within the time frame stated.

We appreciate your review. We are glad to hear your plumbing needs where met. Please keep us in mind for all your cooling and heating needs as well.

I paid Daniels to install a new hvac system on my home. They cut numerous penetrations in my roof for duct work. Several have leaked each time it rains and have been supposedly repaired by their roofers 2-3 times. We still have leaks from two ducts and getting them out to repair the leaks has been an arduous affair. They have not been responsive to my concerns and do not care about service after the sale. The work by them and their inept subcontractors has cost me time and damage to my roof and belongings.

I am rejecting this response because: I would like the owner of the company to contact me and discuss a resolution. The last time I contacted the respondent for help with the ongoing issues created by their work, she refused to return my calls or correspond with me. She instructed me to address all my concerns to the salesperson. For the record.

In January of this year I entered into an agreement with Daniels Heating and Air Conditioning LLC to replace the home comfort system on my home with a new, energy effcient system that would service my entire house. We were made many promises by the salesman about how pleased we would be with the system and their service and we paid 50 percent of the purchase price as stipulated. The work was started on time as promised but that was the only aspect of the job that went right. I had to contact them when crews did not show up to work on the install. I asked them to communicate with me about each stage of the job but that did not happen. The electrical work failed inspection twice and I had to communicate this to them to see it was completed correctly. They cut 12 penetrations in my flat roof for ductwork and they were not sealed the first time by their roofer causing water damage to my ceilings and belongings the first time it rained. They came back to patch again and during the next rainstorm they leaked again causing more damage. The communication with them the entire time was unacceptable. I withheld the balance of the payment until all the repairs were made but even then it was not done correctly because my roof leaked again. At this point I told them I did not want them or their contractors on my property again and they should pay a roofer of my choice to fix their mess. This is when I contacted the Revdex.com. They have been a huge help as a mediator and Daniels made good and paid for the repairs and damages to my home through their contractors insurance. I have settled with insurance and scheduled repairs. Do not believe all the promises a company makes. Research them and ask about their contractors. I have learned a valuable lesson from this horrible experience and it will change the way I approach and trust a business I intend to do business with.

Daniels H
Victor V the service tech did an outstanding job, my AC wasn't cooling down the house, so there was a leak, he quickly found the leak, and fixed it FAST, I was glad that it wasn't anything major, or I would had to call my home warranty company. Victor was very professional, took time to explain everything he was going to do and repair. I highly recommend Daniels H for all my heating ,pluming and air.

Glad to hear that our technician was there ti service your HVAC needs. We always appreciate your ongoing business.

Called with a plumbing line clog and Daniel's was able to send me someone the next morning, less than 24 hours later. Dallas arrived early during the scheduled window and was highly professional and friendly. He had the line unclogged within 1 hour. I will definitely use Daniel's again and will request Dallas. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your plumbing review. Please keep us in mind for all your cooling and air conditioning needs as well!

I called them to come fix a main water line leak at my residence and when the unpersonable technician showed up, I showed him where the leak was and he got to work. The technician was unprepared, having limited tools and required to drive to Lowe’s two times during that time to purchase additional tools. The technician finished the job 4 hours later (including travel time to and from Lowe’s). The technician wrote up the invoice billing me for the parts he bought at Lowe’s and 4 hours of time. I complained and informed him I was not willing to pay for his mistake of being unprepared and requiring additional tools and he discounted the invoice billing me only 2.5 hrs instead which I appreciated and paid. Two days later (on Friday) the line was again leaking and I called the company to inform them the issue was not resolved. I was hung up on two times and kept calling back before finally speaking to an unfriendly woman who said on Monday she would send the technician back to assess the leak once again. I was again without water the entire weekend and waited patiently until Monday. On Monday the same technician (Chris) came back and began messing with the pipe using a pipe rench and after informed me the leak was somewhere else. A few minutes later, he showed me a different area and said the leak was further up the line and the entire line would need to be replaced or he could charge me for two more hours of labor to fix the leak. When I declined, he stated I would have to call the office to get an estimate for remedying the issue which I believe was caused by his faulty work. When I called the office later that day, I was told they would send out a master technician to determine what is the problem. Two days later the master tech came , took a look and said they would email me an estimate, as I was expecting for them to take into consideration the $400 I had already paid for nothing as the leak was not fixed. Still being without water, I wait waited another three days and still never heard back.

Daniel's Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Response

1st visit, November 13, 2017 I got dispatched to a plumbing call in the late afternoon for a main line water leak. I arrived at the customers house Mr *** and he had dug a hole to find where he was leaking water. When we arrived, we could barely see the top of the pipe as it was about 3 feet deep and in a bad position close to the side walk. Had my helper dig around the pipe so we could have a bit more access to the main line. it was muddy and very difficult to dig because of all the water. we dug by hand and used a vacuum to keep removing the water. Finally, we exposed the pipe after digging for about 45 minutes. we turned on water to find where the main line was leaking from. I found that it was leaking from the tee off of the main line feeding the sprinkler system, the customer explained to me he has had to repair this line a few other times. So, I explained to him because this was an emergency call we would fix the line today, but I recommend he has a line locater find the location of his entire main line have them mark it and we would return to give him an estimate to replace the entire main line. He said he was just going to repair it. So, I explained to the customer I would give him a break and charge hourly at $95 an hour plus materials even though there was two guys which is usually $130 an hour. He said ok he needed it fixed. I went to get the parts to repair the line, we were attempting to fix the line without having to use a repair compression tee but unfortunately because the hole was so tight and deep it was too difficult to do without the compression tee. so, I returned to Lowe’s and get a compression tee. which the customer was clocked out for as is every customer when we are on a part run. I returned and installed the compression fitting repaired the line to the sprinkler and pressurized the main line and sprinkler line. I tested with gauge at hose bib and no drop-in pressure with main water off. We visually inspected the main line and no leaks. I wrote ticket and tried to collect, and the customer refused to pay he accused me of charging him too much and that he could have repaired it in 2 hours. I tried to explain to him that because of the location of the line it was a bit more difficult than normal and if I could have finished it quicker we would have, the location and circumstances were not the company’s fault. I tried to contact office to collect with no answer. It is now 7pm at night so I just told the customer I would remove the 2 hours and just collect the remaining which is on ticket. this was an emergency call at the end of a work day and probably should have been after hour charges anyways. Customer stated he wanted to bury line to save money on labor. 2nd visit, November 21, 2017, so I returned to Mr ***’s home because he called office saying that his line was leaking still. when I arrived, I asked him where it was leaking from he stated that it was leaking from the tee fitting we repaired so I removed all the water and mud and found that the leak was coming from under the dirt. about a foot or a foot and a half from where the initial repair was done. the fitting had cracked at the threaded connection, I explained to him that this will continue to happen, his line is weak, and he never buried the line so a combination of the cold temperatures at night and early mornings were probably the cause. we never took out ANY tools other than our vacuum and a small hand shovel to find the leak since it was from an area that was not dug up yet. I gave him a written quote flat rate and explained he must sign the invoice before we start any repairs because of payment issues last visit. he told me I was going to fix his line and then we would discuss charges, again, I told him we would not repair the line until I received a signature, he then began to accuse me of buying tools last time I was at his home and charging him for them and I explained to him I pay for my own tools and told him to call the office. Customer refused to pay charges for return service call. NOTE : As far as being unprepared I have ALL my own tools and am always prepared for my jobs but water leaks there is no way we can keep all the parts we would need to repair every houses main lines.

We submitted a quote for our recommended repairs to customer.

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

The response made by Daneils HVAC in attempts to resolve this matter is not only a complete misrepresentation of the truth but also an insult and further demonstrates the poor customer service and ethics of this business. First, their response says this was an emergency call at the end of the work day which you can see from the invoice I’ve attached that I placed the call for the work at 10:33 am on a Monday and they arrived at my residence at 1:34 pm on the same day, and “completed the job” at 5:44 pm. second, when they arrived to my home the area had already been completely dug out and the pipe was exposed because I had a friend of mine present who had helped me do the digging while we were waiting for the technician to show up all day. The invoice also shows that they first tried to bill me for 3.5 hours of work and after Not to be charged for their trip to Lowe’s for other materials, the tech billed me for 2.5 hours instead to account for the time he left my home to go get more materials. Lastly, the check Ive attached shows that I paid in full at the time of service because he assured me the leak was fixed and there was going to be no other issues. However, several days later the line began to leak in the exact same spot where it was repaired. Again, I dug up all the dirt, removed the water and exposed the pipe to ensure where the leak was , which I verified was from the area which he repaired a few days prior. After damaging a part of the pipe a foot away from where he repaired prior , the tech lied and said the leak was from somewhere else and it would be an additional cost. I still have the portion of the pipe he damaged as proof. I informed him that I was not going to pay anymore money and that the job needed to be done right the first time and it obviously wasn’t so I wanted them to fix what they said they were going to the first time that I had already paid for. The technician told me that I would have to contact the office and discuss that with them to see if they would repair the leak, as they should have the first time, instead of charging me an additional fee. He left my home and I called the office to discuss my frustration and how I expected them to come out and repair the leak for no additional costs because it was leaking still from the same spot. I was sent on a goose chase by this company for days on end as they promised me they would send out another technician, and then they would email me a quote, so on and so forth, and then eventually they never returned my calls and or never came back to my home to fix the leak . I had to spend an additional money out of my pocket and hire another company to come out and fix the leak properly. For them to come out and “fix the leak” which started leaking again from the same spot several days later goes to show that they did not do the work correctly the first time around. Again they were unprepared for the job, tried to rack up additional expenses, then damage another area of the pipe to try to say the leak was from there, when the main problem was that they didn’t do the job right the first time and couldn’t own up to it to remedy the leak the second time around.

I am rejecting this response because:

I never received your bid via email and or any additional correspondence from your company. A follow-up telephone call would have been the professional way to handle the situation since you guys were already aware of the issue I was having and that your attempts to repair did not resolve the problem at the time you offered to send me a bid. Anyways, I am sorry that I contacted your company to repair the issue because I basically threw $390 of my hard earned money down the drain. Your refusal to remedy the situation now after the fact has caused me to never use or refer your services to any of my fellow patrons or family members.

We had a technician come out to fix one of our two AC units. My husband was gone on a work trip, and my two year old son was home with me. My dad did AC repair for a living and I am an engineer, so I am not completely ignorant. However, from the start, the technician did not answer my questions and gave me glaring looks like I should go away. I did my best to keep my two year out of his way while keeping the technician within sight. He never once told me what he was doing or asked if I approved any of the work he did. He took the filter out but said nothing about it as I watched. I assumed he would put it back. Later he charged for it when I would have replaced it myself. He was walking to the truck with the capacitor, and I asked, is that a capacitor? All he said is yeah it's a capacitor, not that it needed replacing or an additional hard start kit, both of which he would install and charge for without asking. As he was washing the coils with the water hose, we walked over and again a glare but no words. I can clean coils as well as anyone, and of course he charged for that. I was shocked to receive an ~$500 bill for charges that were not approved or even mentioned before he did the work. My expectation was ~$200 to get the unit going again. Clearly, this man took advantage of me while my husband was gone. I called the company the next work day and was told the service manager would call me back. No one returned my call. I called again three days later, again told someone would return my call. Again, no call. The company is only out for the money they can make off of unsuspecting people. How can you refuse to pay after the work is done? Watch out if you dare to call them.
