We were contracted to remove this tree and stump.? From the dictionary: the bottom part of a tree left projecting from the ground after most of the trunk has fallen or been cut down.? We removed the stump, per the clients description that it was removed an inch below the ground.? Most people do not replant in the same area where a tree was.? It can be done but requires extensive grinding of the ROOTS that area below ground.? Everything above ground is the stump, everything below ground are the roots.? If a client asks if they can replant in the same area (which this client did not) we would respond that there needs to be additional grinding and the estimate would read " grind deep and wide for replanting"? I called a couple companies in my industry to check and that is exactly how? they word their grinding as well.I quoted an additional charge of $380, which was a discounted amount.? This site has very difficult access, it sits on a raised front yard behind a retaining wall, and you can not drive a stump machine to the area.? We had to create a ramp to get up and over the wall.As for my company not being moral, we have excellent google reviews, excellent homeadvisor reviews, and excellent Revdex.com reviews with an A+ rating and no complaints in I don't know how long.? We didn't get that by shady business practices and mistreating our clients.? If you had ever mentioned replanting, we would have quoted it that way and ground deep and wide below the surface because that's what it would take to be able to re-plant a tree in the same area.?
