We certainly would hope that every used vehicle we sell, would last a very long time, with out having to spend much money on repairs. During the warrantee period, We did replace the muffler and replaced both noisy,but very much NYSI front struts all at no charge to the customer. We also found that...

the Emergency brake cables were rubbing on a bracket, making a squeaking noise. Spent time working on a "low idle" concern, again all at no charge. Most these repairs were goodwill.  When the vehicle first arrived on our lot, we did an 1.25 hour presale inspection, which included replacing the wiper blades. All our vehicles go through this inspection process..   We have spent over $1300.00 in after sale internal costs on this vehicle, most as good will. The vehicle is 11 production years old and has lived it's life up here in the North Country, home of salt and more. We know it's never a good thing when a car breaks down. But we can not warrantee these older used cars for an unlimited time.  We sell NEW cars with a 36 month month/36,000 mile warrantee, plus  more coverages are included. But of course, they are WAY more expensive.

The work that was stated as  being done on the car was never done. I have asked for written proof of this and I have not received anything in writing from them. That car should not have been on a sales lot the way it was. I don't care how old the car is. That car was dangerous! It probably shouldn't have passed inspection either. It is terrible customer service that they won't issue a partial refund. My daughter who is driving the car is only 18 years old. She will be purchasing quite a few cars in her lifetime. She will never buy from Dannemora Ford. And I will make sure nobody I know does either. The service department and customer service is horrible! Most of what they said is untrue.

This is a terrible company. I still have no documentation of all these repairs they supposedly did. And if they were done it was within the warranty period. So it wasn't a nice gesture. It was a requirement! We have not been back there since the warranty expired and we will never go back.
