I reject the business response
Please note on my behalf that the company is lying
As of October Dannon stated that they would research the information and contact me backThis never happened
The term "several efforts to obtain necessary information" is a gross exaggeration.
The ONE time Dannon contacted regarding my health claims (October 10th) I responded to pages of health questions Dannon submitted
I gave Dannon ALL information they requested

Review: My husband and I both consumed Dannon Oikos strawberry brand Greek yogurts daily for over a year now. A few months ago my husband became very ill after eating an Oikos strawberry Greek yogurt. He had to call out of work the next day and was home with severe stomach pains and diarrhea. After 24 hours he felt better, and went back to work assuming he had a stomach bug or had eaten something bad. The day after that, he went back to work and resumed his normal routine of eating an Oikos strawberry Greek yogurt when he got home from work. That night he was sick again, with stomach pains and diarrhea. Dannon Oikos yogurt was the only food he ate consistently on both occasions that he was sick. Our Doctor felt that he had food poisoning and advised us to throw away the remaining yogurt we had in the refrigerator (18 total). I contacted Dannon customer service after these incidents to report that the yogurt was bad. I had fished the empty containers out of the trash to provide your customer service agent [redacted] with the information. [redacted] stated that because I had rinsed the yogurt container out it could not be collected for testing purposes. She advised me that she would be sending me coupons in the mail to replace the yogurt that was thrown away. (I threw away 4 of the Oikos strawberry multipacks with 4 yogurts inside plus a few extra singles). I advised [redacted] over the phone I would prefer to be compensated as my husband said he would not be eating the yogurt again. [redacted] said she did not have the authority to compensate me and that she could only send coupons. A few weeks went by and I had not received anything in the mail from Dannon. I contacted Dannon online and again by phone on 4/17/13. I was then told that Dannon was not sending coupons due to the fact that I wanted compensation; a request which would need to be submitted in writing. I then mailed Dannon a letter on 4/18/13 explaining the situation and asked for compensation. I included with my letter a copy of a receipt I found with 3 out of the 4 Dannon multipacks I purchased. I could not find the other receipt in the trash for the remaining product. After not receiving a response from Dannon I called their customer service department on 5/30/13. I was told by the agent that a representative would call me back later that day as they did not have the information available. On 5/31/13 I called Dannon again after no one called me back the day prior. On 5/31/13 I spoke with [redacted] who eventually told me that my claim was rejected due to not having "evidence" that the yogurt caused my husband to be ill. I asked [redacted] what "evidence" Dannon was expecting, as I was not told that I needed to submit "evidence" when sending a letter. [redacted] was not able to answer my question and I requested to speak to a supervisor. I then spoke with [redacted]'s supervisor who again repeated that I did not submit "evidence". I asked the supervisor what Dannon considered as "evidence"? The supervisor was not able to give me a satisfactory answer to this question. The supervisor said that she would be sending my complaint to their corporate level as she could not do anything more at her level. Overall, I have had a very negative experience with Dannon and the miscommunication by the customer service department.Desired Settlement: I asked that the Dannon Company compensate me via check for $17.50 for the product that had to be disposed of and apologize to me for the horrible experience I have had with their company and its products.
