Review: I dropped off a bass amp on 3/26/14, because I broke a [redacted] The amp has a sticker price of $350. It has been in their possession for 9 months. I have continuously followed up and have been given the ‘run around’ to the point where I am at my wits end.
A short description of the facts are as follows:
1- I dropped off the amp on 3/26/14, and paid a $50 deposit for the repair. The only issue was 1 non-functioning [redacted] which has a replacement cost of $10. There were two other knobs that were functional, which I decided to replace for esthetic reasons, since I was already getting it fixed. Hence the order was to “replace three knobs.”
2- My amp was severely broken during repair, and all knobs were broken. I believe 10 in total. I was called in May or June of 2014, and we worked out a deal where I would pay an additional $100 (plus tax) for everything to be fixed. ($150 total repair cost) I was promised a “custom amp,” with parts better than the parts that were in the amp originally.
3- I have continuously followed up for months on end. Each time getting the ‘run around’ with excuses such as “the old man is sick” or “his dog is sick.” While I sympathize with those situations, it does not excuse their inability to fix the amp in the time period described.
4- I went to the office on 12/17/14, at roughly 1pm, and no one was there to help me. I have been repeatedly told that I will get a call, but I never receive one.
5- On 2/2/15, I again went to pick up my amp, and the location was locked. I filed a police report regarding stolen property. But they also did not honor our contract for services.
I also want to make it entirely clear that I have not seen my amp since the day I dropped it off.
I understand that the Revdex.com does not handle criminal complaints. My complaints include, but are not limited to: theft, conversion, breach of contract, consumer fraud, conspiracy to commit consumer fraud, and damaged property.Desired Settlement: I will take as settlement
A fully repaired [redacted] bass amp, for which I will pay no more than the negotiated additional $100 (plus tax). OR
$390 (which is the $350 amp cost minus $10 replacement part plus $50 deposit for repair) and I will accept no less.
I understand this is not the first Revdex.com complaint. There is also numerous results if you [redacted] "[redacted] amp service" which shows many customer complaints from [redacted] and [redacted]. This place should not be an operating business. They take your money and your equipment and don't return them. This place is not a business, it is a front to steal property and commit fraud.
