Danny's Automotive Reviews (5)

Review: [redacted] took my vehicle to this establishment without my knowing. When asked where the vehicle was taken for repair, he declined to respond. [redacted] had [redacted] and the [redacted] pick up my car and drive it without my permission. He further had them pay cash and put an amount of $150. on their credit card. I was never informed. Ihad to contact [redacted] on 3 occasions to tow the vehicle after they worked on it twice. I was told by [redacted] mini that that they put in the wrong fuel pump and also had serious sluge in the fuel cavity.I contacted Dannys and they would not disclose the paper work with the documentation of who picked up my car and how it was paid for. They also refused to warranty their work when I asked [redacted] to assist with repairs.Desired Settlement: I ask for a complete explanation of charges, a refund on the non working parts and a refund on the labor since the vehicle was in operable. Danny further told me that [redacted] was having his wife pick up the car. He had [redacted] and the [redacted] housekeeper from the [redacted] pick up the vehicle pay for it and drive it without my permission. Isn't this against the law?

Response:

Unfortunately we don't have this consumer in our records as ever brining her car in for repairs.

Review: I brought a transfer case (brand new) to have them install it on my vehicle and the shop damaged my parts upon installation and when I let them know that this had happened they told me it's my fault and refused to fix it or correct there mistake or refund me my money and now I'm left with a vehicle that leaks transmission fluid and I'm out 600 dollarsDesired Settlement: I just want the seals that they damaged on my vehicle repaired or I want my money back so I can have this issue fix somewhere else I paid them 230 dollars to do the install and 400 dollars for my transfer case

Response:

On 7/17/15 at about 12:03pm [redacted] came in to Danny's Automotive with his 1996 [redacted] Laredo requesting to install his own transfer case part on the vehicle. [redacted] had mentioned that he had bought this part from a local junk yard and that the transfer case came out of a newer model vehicle and also said that the people that sold him the part told him that even though the part was a little different it should work on his older model. (So it was a used part not a brand new part like [redacted] had mentioned in the Revdex.com statement). We gave [redacted] the price to replace his own transfer case part he brought for labor charge of $230.00 and mentioned that we do not warranty parts supplied by the customer. Customer agreed and signed the Repair Order and we went ahead with the removing and replacing of his part. Although the transfer case was a little different from the one on his car originally it only goes in one way and the replacing of the part went fine however what we did notice is that the drive line had accessive play and was making noise. No other damages happened or were noticed at installation. At about 3:25pm the same day, [redacted] came in to pick up the vehicle and we made him aware of what was noticed and we showed him the drive line and customer stated he would take care of it. A few days later customer called the shop stating there is someking of leak and we asked him to bring in the vehicle so that we can take a look at what was leaking. Customer stated he would come in the next day but customer didn't show up. Few days after that we've recieve this Revdex.com complaint. We called [redacted] right away and asked him if he can come in for us to inspect the vehicle. Customer told us he would be in the following day but unfortunately once again he didn't show up. [redacted] is a valued customer of ours, he has been here 4 times on 1/30/15, 2/9/15, 4/2/15 and 7/1/15 prior to 7/17/15 visit. Each of these times [redacted] brought his own parts and we are always upfront with [redacted] and all of our customers about No Warranty on customer supplied parts. This is the first time there has been an issue. We always try our best to take care of each customer and any issues that may arise. We are a bit surprised to read this Revdex.com Statement from the customer since this is the first that we hear of [redacted] complaints that he had stated. [redacted] had not expressed to us that he felt we damaged the parts and that we had a discussion about it and refused to fix it. We had not been given a chance to inspect the vehicle after the installation of the part or have a conversation addressing customers concerns. Its been 10 days since the installation of the replaced part and we still haven't seen the vehicle back at the shop. We are more than willing to work with the customer if he just brings the vehicle and his concerns to the shop so that we can properly as the situation and see what we can do for him. Its possible that the used part customer got had bad seals already because its possible for seals to dry out when sitting on the shelf and unfortunately that's the chance you take with used parts. However it is not clear what the issue is in this case since we have not yet inspected and identified the leak on the vehicle. There is not much we can do at this point without seeing the vehicle.

Danny's Automotive is one of those rare shops offering a high level of skill, speedy results, and good pricing. There is no shop in Northern California that comes close to equaling these qualities. I do business

throughout Northern California and Western Nevada, and there is no shop that is as fair, honest and talented in a 300 mile radius. The only mistake you can make with Danny is by not going to him to service your vehicle and achieve spectacular results.

[redacted] conducts business the old fashion way, all customer service, no frills and a more than fair price for his automotive services. I couldn't have been more satisfied with his timely and quality services.

Review: I TOOK MY CAR TO BE REFINISHED/PAINTED AND REPAIRED TO AN EMPLOYEE OF DANNY B[redacted] WITH A GUARANTEED RETURN. FOUR MONTHS LATER, I WENT BY THE GARAGE AND IT IS IN WORSE CONDITION THAN WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO HIM FOR REPAIR AND REFINISHING. I HAVE PAID IN ADVANCE AND DO HAVE ALL THE RECEIPTS AND PROOF OF PAYMENT TO THIS BUSINESSDesired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE TO BE RECOMPENSATED AND/OR MY CAR REPAIRED AS PROMISED. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR 4 MONTHS AND THIS ALONE HAS BEEN EXPREMELY INCONVENIENT AND A REAL STRESS TO MY ABILITY TO HAVE TRANSPORTATION.
