[redacted] I apologize for not responding quicker to [redacted]’s complaint.  Danvers [redacted] does not feel that it has done anything wrong in its dealings with Miss [redacted].  Miss [redacted] brought her vehicle in on the afternoon the thirteenth of December 2017.   She...

explained to [redacted] one of our service advisors, that her car’s battery light was on and could we look at it.  Miss [redacted] was quoted $120.00 to diagnose the repair.   After diagnosing it was determined an additional pin point test was needed to isolate weather it was the alternator or corroded wires on the back of the alternator. This pin point test required the additional labor operation of removing the alternator. At this point Miss [redacted] was accompanied by her father. [redacted] one of our service advisors was handling the repair.  He informed the [redacted]s that the additional work was necceasry to get the exact cause of the battery light being on.  The father asked if he left the car for repairs could it be ready the next day.  We told him with [redacted] present that we could have it completed for the next day.  They left the vehicle and we pulled the alternator to check for the corroded wires.  Once we pulled the alternator it was determined to be an alternator and the wire connections were fine.  [redacted] called [redacted] and confirmed the alternator needed to be replaced and confirmed the price.  [redacted] said she would get back with us to confirm or decline the repairs.  [redacted] did call in early the next day to decline the repair. She spoke with ** who was not involved in the conversation between [redacted], the technician and the [redacted]s the previous day.  This did lead to the confusion on the pricing of the diagnosis.  Danvers [redacted] does not feel that a refund is due.However because of the long standing business relation with Mr [redacted] we will refund Miss [redacted] a $120.00.  This is a goodwill adjustment.
