specific serum made to sign an agreement acknowledging that the serum is made specifically for them, and they are responsible for the cost of the serum, either through receiving weekly injections, or paying for the serum if they do not receive the injections. No other patient can use the serum, and there is a cost to the provider when ordering it.
I did find it documented in her medical record that she informed them on 9/15/2014 she would be leaving town, I can not find any discussion as to a subsequent charge for her unused portion of serum. The dates she stated in her claim must be typos, as it references care in 1973 and 1914.
Although she signed papers acknowledging she would be responsible for any costs that she had agreed to, even if insurance failed to pay, the physician has agreed to write off the balance for the remaining serum only. The patient does however still owe for charges that remain unpaid for services she did receive, and these also have been turned over to a collection agency, as the patient did not pay as previously agreed. Those charges will remain.

Because the doctor agree to take off the charge for the serum. which is what I am asking for.
