Dare Auto Repair stands firm with our decision. *** has no valid complaint. Ms. *** presented a quote from another company that misdiagnosed a repair to fix her steering problem. We gave her a better price and she approved replacing the parts. We are not responsible for replacing parts that did not solve her steering problem that someone else suggested. I did call *** *** and a recall for this exact steering problem was performed on this car in April. This is why I suggested going to a *** *** dealer to see if this part failed a second time . *** *** told me if the recalled part that was replaced failed, it would be replaced at no cost. IF *** paid us a diagnosis fee to determine the cause of her steering problem, approved our suggested repair and we were wrong, then we are responsible. Otherwise we are not.Sincerely,Rick B***

Revdex.com,Ms*** brought her car in Thursday morning 10/20/and stated she needed to replace steering gear and outer tie rods. MS. *** then showed me an estimate from *** *** & *** in Mentor for $plus tax. *** *** &
*** inspected her car and said that would fix her car and asked if I could beat that price. I quoted a price of $+ tax and she left. Ms. *** called back later that morning and was going to bring the car in. Ms*** brought her car back, we pulled the car in and performed the repairs that she requested. The repair that she thought would fix the car did not. Her complaint that the work was not done incorrect is false. The repairs that she requested was done proper, but was not the correct part that was causing her problem. I understand that she is upset, but it is not our fault. MS*** was misinformed by someone else of the parts needed to repair her car were wrong. I did some research and informed her that a fault code for steering system had a recall from *** ***. I suggested going to a dealer to see if repair would be covered under warranty. Ms. *** is mad,but at the wrong person. We are not responsible for someone else misdiagnose of her car. We did the repairs she requested and done the work properly. When reading Ms. *** complaint to the Revdex.com, I find it puzzling that see left out that she requested the work to be done, failed to mention she had, a quote and a diagnoses from *** *** & *** for her repair. I feel that that was purposely lleft out in her complaint to distort the truth in her favor. I also have a signed invoice stating she requested replacing steering gear, outer tie rods and can send a copy if needed Richard B*** Dare Auto Repair Inc

*** *** To Whom It May Concern: I now see why there have been so many complaints against this auto repair company, how they are still in business is really a miracleI will never take my car to them againI truly believe that they have mechanics there that do not know what they are doingI will advise my family members and friends about this place and advise them do not take your car there for any type of repair. The business reply to what was said and done is completely untrueThe first time I took the car to the auto repair company I specifically said " When driving on the freeway anytime I hit my breaks the steering wheel and front wheels started shakingI never said when driving the steering wheel and front tires shakeI also stated when coming off the freeway and going down a ramp "When I hit the breaks the steering wheel and front tires would shakeThe auto repair shop advised me that they would not test drive it on the freeway in fear of an accidentLastly when I took my car to the Chevy dealership for service I told them the same thing, when I drive on the freeway or coming off the freeway onto a ramp and hitting the brakes the steering wheel and front tires started shaking. Within minutes of inspection the dealership said the problem was my rotors, I was charged $plus - total expense at the auto shop $plus and the problem was not resolved)Kind Regards,*** ***

I went in to Dare Auto Repair in Euclid. (Rick Bammerlin) Just because I am a woman doesn't mean you can trick me. I went in to have a hose check cause it was leaking (black fluids). I had no appointment told him what was going on with my car. He drove my car in the garage about ten minutes later he says your antifreeze leaked all of the ground that's your problem. Last I checked antifreeze is colorful green orange ect. Maybe he's color blind cause my leak was black which I told him in the beginning. There was nothing wrong with my radiator or my reservoir until I went here! May have put a hole in it. Then he said that I had more leaks than that and gave me a price of $545 to fix them! Really! This guy breaks your car so he can fix it to make money is a shame. And charged me $30 and told me if I drove my car it will blow up as I left. Very terrible service! Do not go here for car repairs. You crazy if you do; mechanics are in on this.

DARE AUTO REPAIR DARE TO COMPARE Rick B[redacted] 22781 Shore Center Dr. Euclid. OH 44123 21G-290-066S Fax: 216-289-8282 June 29, 2016 To Revdex.com, This is a response to a complain that your office received from [redacted] to repairs done to his 2008 Chevy HHr. Mr....

[redacted] came in on 5123/2016 and complained that his steering wheel is shaking on the highway. I specifically ask him "is it just when you are driving or when braking", his response was ''no just when I am driving on the highway at high speeds. This was a very important question that I asked Mr. [redacted] to determine what direction to take to find the cause of his complaint. A high speed vibration is most likely caused by a suspension or tire balance problem. I then instructed the tech to test drive the car on the highway to confirm customers complaint. The tech then proceeded to test drive the HHR .The tech informed me the car sounds like the whole front end is going to fall off and was afraid to test drive. While the car was pulled into the the shop I noticed both front wheels moving side to side when braking. Durning inspection tech noted that both front lower control arms bushing were falling out along with worn leaking struts, worn strut mounts and sway bar links. I called the customer to recomemnd replacing worn parts for safety and could be source of vibration. I never said that not doing repairs would cause an accident. After repairs were complete, [redacted] picked up the car and later called and stated "it still shaking on the highway." told him to bring the car back and I will recheck. When [redacted] brought back on 5/25, we inspected front suspension and no other suspension probems were found. The next logical step to inspect for high speed vibration, is to check balance of front wheels and inspect tires. Tech noted that both front wheels were bent and tires were worn uneven, I then called Mr, [redacted] and suggested replacing both front wheels and front tires. I also told [redacted] that his front rotors are warped, brake pads are worn causing a vibration when braking. I told him I felt the brakes pulsating when braking in the parking lot. [redacted] said he didnt care about the brakes, but to replace front rims and front tires. We then replaced two front rims and two new tires. Mr. [redacted] paid th bill, picked up his car later that day. I informed [redacted] the only thing I feel is a vibration when braking at low speeds and high speeds. THIS IS NOTED ON HIS SIGNED INVOICE ON 5/25/2016. Mr, [redacted] came back on 5/31/2016 and complained that car was still shaking on the highway and wanted to know if any repairs would be free. I said let me check the car maybe a wheel weight fell off or maybe the tires were not balanced properly. I checked tire balance and everthing was correct. When I called [redacted], I told him the only vibration that was felt is when braking because you need front brakes. This is the first time and only time that [redacted] told me that his vibration complaint is when he was braking on the highway. He then asked if I would repair at no cost. I said that I flelt bad that there was a miscommunication, but the brake vibration was felt braking in the parking lot. I told him that is why I questioned him durning his first visit when complaining of a vibration on the highway. Do you feel a vibration when driving or braking, His response was just driving on the highway. I then explained to him that the first repair to replace control arms and strut, the second visit to replace two bent front wheels and worn tires were all justified repairs. These damaged parts can cause vibration on highway. I told him I still have all old parts and can show him. He replied no. I then offerd to replace the front brakes at no labor cost and just cost of the parts ($75.00), he declined. In conclusion, I feel that all parts that were replaced were worn and damaged. When an inspection finds more that one problem, its impossible to determine which one is the cause of a vibration. In my 26 years experience and training, repair what is damaged and then retest. All of the old parts are still here for inspection. I feel if he chose to pay another repair shop $211.86 for front brakes that is his choice, I was willing to perforn the repair for $70.00. My final thought is that Mr. [redacted] was not clear of his complaint, paid for services to repair worn or damaged parts on his car and was offered a -discount to repair worn brakes. The recommendation to replace frotn brakes that is clearly stated on his invoice 56398 with a signature and declined. Sincerely Richard L, B[redacted] Owner Dare Auto Repair
