At the time the customer leased the *** ***, she purchased tire and wheel coverage, but the coverage does not include “wear and tear”, which is stated in the contract and was explained by our Finance & Insurance representative at the time of signingMs*** did service her
vehicle at Darling’s and had the tires rotated, not alignedWhen Ms*** turned her *** in at the end of the lease, the vehicle inspection completed by ***’s representative stated excess wear on the tiresThe end-of-lease inspection is independent of Darling's, and is performed by the manufacturerThe $bill Ms*** received for the excess wear is from ***, not Darling's, so any adjustment in the disputed amount would have to be handled directly through ***

We have reached out to Mr*** via phone and email to apologize and let him know we have the parts necessary to complete the repair. We also will offer to pick up his vehicle and deliver it back after the repair has been completed.Regards, *** ***

The issue with the truck was replicated and upon inspection found that components ( Frt Diff, Rear Diff, transfer case and transmission) all had water mixed with the fluidbefore and repairs were performed the customer was called and informed that there was water in all of these components and
would not be warranty due to outside influence. The customer did inform us at that time that they have a boat and back it into the water. At this time it was explained that outside influence was not covered and it would cost them just over $to flush and fill all the fluidsThey were also given the opportunity to remove the vehicle at this time before any work was startedThe customer agreed to have the work completed at our facility. The customer was then informed the truck was completed and her husband would be in to pick the truck up. That afternoon Mr.Meservey came in and discussed with our GM that he does not feel he should be responsible for the water intrusion and *** should take care of the fluid flushesAgain we explained that *** is not going to pay for outside influence and agreed to help with the repair. Everyone agreed that we would settle on the customer being responsible for $and Darling's would be absorbing the remaining $400+We released the vehicle and just received payment for the customers portionWe considered this settled with the customer at the time

I have been working with *** ***, our Service Director at our *** dealership, to help *** with her ***We requested assistance from *** and were deniedThe estimate from *** Auto Body to repair ***’s hood was $While this repair was outside both ***’s year/unlimited
mileage rust warranty and our express warranty given with the vehicle when it was purchased in 2012, we have offered to pay for this work at *** Auto Body as a one-time goodwill assistance repairI have conveyed this to *** and she said this was a satisfactory solution*** has contacted *** Auto Body and they will be making an appointment with *** to get the repair done. I had told the service center about the vehicle pulling to the right when driving and requested the alignment be checked at Darlings service center.

The Service Director has been involved in the repair attempts to this vehicle with the customerThe customer came in on 1/30/for a recall (***) that requires the throttle body to be replacedOn 8/07/with 18,miles on the vehicle the customer returned with a humming noise and lack of
powerThe vehicle was scanned with no fault codesThe tech did drive the vehicle and was unable to replicate the concernFord was approached for assistance due to the customer's persistence of the concern*** did approve to replace the throttle body again for a possible intermittent failureThe customer returned again on 9/7/and 11/7/complaining of a shifting issue and lag on accelerationConcern was not duplicatedThe shop foreman did road test with the customer to try and duplicate the concernConcern still was not duplicatedAt this time Ford is requiring duplication of the concern before any further attempts will be made to repairThe customer did also have a couple of complaints of tire wearAfter reviewing with ***, assistance was given and all tires were replaced as a warranty repairThe first complaint on tire wear was at 16,miles and beyond ***’s adjustment warrantyDarling’s approached *** and was able to get assistance on replacing the tiresThe issues with the car have been addressed to the best of our abilityIf there are any further concerns they will need to be replicated in order to go further with repairsThis is an issue the customer needs to address with Ford

*** *** contacted Darling's directly on August 27, 2015, and spoke with *** ***, our Executive Vice President, asking that we send a letter to *** to request the removal of a duplicate inquiry from her credit recordsOn September 1, 2015, Mr*** wrote to *** per Ms
***'s request and asked that they remove Darling's inquiry record so that her credit score would not be adversely impacted by the duplicate credit inquiry which resulted from a second credit inquiry made by Maine State Credit UnionAs of October 2, 2015, we are still waiting for a response to our request from ***
