I wish to post a negative review of Fox Professionals, and my review is basicallhy the same as Melanie.P of March 10th Same name of Jay S***, SrTech Supervisor My workings with Fox was almost identical to hers I question their honesty -- I was sold an Apple product for a number of devices, only three of which are Apple Apple says they do not insure 3rd party products, and do not insure any Apple product older than days (mine are at least three years old) We are awaiting a promised refund letter from themDAS March 20th ,
I'm writing because I'm concerned about the legitimacy of Fox Professionals of Modesto, CA This morning I mistakenly dialed their number, thinking I was calling a cybersecurity organization with which I have an account I found the phone number on my Google browser A man with an accent that sounded Indian or Pakistani and who identified himself as "John" listened to my concern and started to work with me I foolishly allowed him to access my computer, therefore enabling him to copy all of my data and information, which included user names and passwords for various accounts
"John" told me his company was an authorized software support organization for Kaspersky and Microsoft I have since verified that neither company offers third-party support I can only conclude this business is not legitimate as far as software support goes
"John" did show me that I had a virus called Zeus and he purportedly deleted it, along with other related files I signed up for services totaling $ Before John could finish his work remotely I reached Kaspersky and ended the session with John Kaspersky then deleted more than files that did not belong on my computer Later I phoned Fox Professionals and cancelled $of my purchase The credit has already been applied to my credit card account
I did additional research with the state of California which leads me to believe Fox Professionals is not a legitimate accounting business I now believe that either Fox Professionals or another organization caused the pwarning purportedly from Kaspersky that alerted me to the existence of malware I am upset with myself for not reading the browser listing more carefully and also for not realizing earlier in my conversation with "John" what might have been occurring and stopping contact sooner I will dispute the remaining charge with my credit card issuer and will contact Google, which carried the listing for Fox Professionals, as well as other appropriate authorities
Fox Professionals claims to be an accounting / bookkeeping firm and "John" stated they have an IT department, for which he works Their website is rather rudimentary and the "purchase options" have no descriptions A man with an American accent who identified himself as Jay Stiffler, Senior Tech Supervisor, also handled the initial billing and the refund
"Jay" told me they have legal and tax departments also He insisted the business was legitimate and that the do work for Microsoft, Lenovo, and many others
I would like you to investigate Fox Professionals to determine if they are legitimate I do not want to besmirch the name of a reputable organization, but I am very concerned that Fox Professionals is not reputable If it is not reputable, I want to warn others who may attempt to do business with the firm
