My dog went there for three weeks M-F and they had him for 8-10 hours a day. In that 3 weeks he only learned how to sit. Their website stated he would learn to sit, lay, stay, not jump, not run out open doors, walk on a leash, etc. After paying $450 ($150 weekly) I asked how much time is spent on training and was told two 20 mins sessions. After questioning why my dog only learned how to sit I was informed that they require 4 weeks of training and suggested that I pay another $150 for the last week to complete his training. I did not that this route as I feel I already paid $450 and 3 weeks of his time not to learn anything. They would not offer a refund but only that once I paid for another week they would continue to work with him after that week for free. I paid $300 via credit card and $150 in cash.

Refund I am not looking for a full refund but at least a partial refund ($225) as my dog only learned how to sit. I even think $225 is a steep payment for one trick.

The day train program is a minimum of 4 weeks. All dogs learn at a different rate and for 95% of the dogs that we train 4 weeks is enough. If a dog completes all 4 weeks and they have not learned all of the behaviors that we guarantee we will continue to train the dog until he / she has learned all of the behaviors at no additional cost to the owner. The only time this would not hold true is if there were extenuating circumstances in which case it would be discussed early on with the owner.
As for only receiving 2 - 20 minutes training sessions, this is true for one on one individualized training. Puppies are not able to handle anymore than that. However, they are in daycare for about 6 hours a day learning how to behave with other dogs, interacting with staff, learning not to jump on people, learning not to bite, learning not to bolt out doors, etc. The remainder of the day is napping and being fed.
As the owner of the facility, I must apologize if we left the impression that we were going to take her money and not provide the promised service. I would like extend to her the option of repeating the training that she paid for and receiving the 4th week at no charge.
