We understand that it is a very difficult time, having a loved one become ill or pass awayWe always try to be as accommodating as possibleUnfortunately, there are times we are unable to grant all requests by clients, due to state laws, regulations and liability issuesUnfortunately, we cannot have owners present within the hospital for procedures on their petsThis is also an emergency hospital, which can be very busyWe need full access to our patients and equipment and cannot allow owners to walk freely in our emergency treatment areaThis was nicely explained in this situationAn ultrasound was performed on this pet by a board certified internist and the results promptly relayed to the ownerJust as with people, diagnostic testing may be necessary to determine the cause of an illnessIn this case, the owner did not consent to many of our recommendations.According to our records, the owner was kept apprised of the situation and condition of her pet at all timesWith serious illnesses, there can be sudden changesIn this instance, there was a change in the pet's conditionIt is always painful to lose a loved oneRather than focus on the precious time the owner had with the pet, it seems they are choosing to take out their pain on the animal hospital and place blameHopefully, in time, the owner will be able to put things into proper perspective.The cursing and rudeness we would hope were due to the pain they were feelingSocial media removed posts by the owner, due to repeated inappropriate language, etcJust as with humans, even with the best possible care, patients sometimes pass away

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:A dog is part of someone's family, and as a medical facility it should be ran as professional, accommodating and sympathetic. This was NOT the case. Yes, we agree that there can be sudden changes, but it was NEVER addressed to us. Yes, this is an emergency hospital, but at time we brought our dog in, nobody was in the waiting room. I am asking for someone to check the surveillance cameras to see if appropriate care was given. The front end receptionists kept telling us our dog was resting comfortably and we should NOT come and visit due to it confuses the dog. My family felt so sick due to this treatment and NOT being able to reach the doctors as if we were bothering the receptionist and being blocked out of what was really going on down thereWe absolutely wanted to see our dog and we did plan to come down Saturday night. The only diagnostic testing they recommended was a bone marrow biopsy which could not be done until Tuesday Feb*** and our dog passed away Feb*** I did not consent to this procedure, due to it is very painful for animals and humans. As far as the ultrasound my dog's vet wanted this done. I asked the receptionists when they arrive if I could wait in the waiting room. The answer was NO. Why not? Hospitals do that. On the report it stated dog was shaking and in pain. We did not know this. It is a shame for such a young doctor stating " *** ***" when asked if this was serious.On the day my dog passed, doctor told me to take my time and do errands before coming to the facility. We did not receive any updated information my dog was half dead with black eyes dying on the floor. We did not receive my dog records until March *, 2017. I requested them times in February and again MarchWhat was the hold up?The cursing and rudeness on social media was my daughter. She was wrong for this. However, on social media there were many other complaints about this facility. My daughter was right on how the medical staff chose to treat us.The facility issued a $refund to me, but decided to put a stop payment on the check. I cashed it and accrued a stop payment fee. This is unethicalMaybe in time the owners (doctors) and office manager put things into proper perspective on how paying customers should be treated.
