Review: I had repair on the hood of my [redacted] recently at this place. Although the repair itself was satisfactory the charge was excessive in my opinion. I brought the truck for repair of the front lower right side of the hood on Tuesday May 12th around two thirty - 3 pm. I inquired about the repair and the price and was told they will call later for the price. I got the call at the local hotel, where I needed to stay while the repair was done soonafter, with estimate in excess of three thousand dollars and after tense negotiations was quoted at 2,104.00 dollars. Tuesday was already thru for any billable repair, and they had the entire Wednesday May 13 to work on the truck and on Thursday around 11:30- 12 am I got the truck. I was charged 1,914.00 dollars in labor, which at $110 per hour equal to 17.4 work hours. How in the world for one day ( Wednesday) really they charge so much in labor. I have consulted with friends, mechanics and all agreed that I have been away over charged for this type of repair. The entire bill should have been around $900 to $1,100 tops! I feel I was taken advantage of by Dattco. I can submit estimate for similar repair at half the price they charged me!!!Desired Settlement: I feel they need to reimburse me $ $900 with an apology. This is not a way to do business. We all have bills to pay, but I am one owner operator trying to survive not large company, with deep pocket.
