Response: on 2/14/the customer filing this complaint inquired with our company into the cost to replace parts to his suspension, window regulator and fuel pump and that HE would provide all necessary and correct partsIn addition to the installation of the customers supplied parts, an alignment was recommended since the work involved would affect the suspension geometryAfter the estimate had been provided, the customer agreed to have the parts HE provided installedAt no time did the customer request our employees to diagnose or evaluate the parts he was providing, he just wanted all the parts installed at his pre-determined opinion of what his vehicle requiredOnce the work had began, it was discovered that the parts he had purchased and requested to be installed were not factory style replacement parts but rather "Rough Country" parts designed to highly modify the height and dynamic characteristics of his Jeep Cherokee SportWhen advised that these parts would not provide favorable results, the customer elected to proceed with the work since he wanted his vehicle to sit much higher than the factory settingsWhen the work was complete the customer picked up his vehicle All parts the customer provided to modify the suspension were installed as per specific instructions provided by the customer and "Rough Country" productsThe customer provided fuel pump was installed as per his diagnosis and request as well as the window regulatorHowever his window still did not work due to a bad switch that our company was not asked to diagnose prior to working on this vehicleThe non working fuel gauge was of the same situationAll items replaced were at the diagnosis and request of the customer, at no point were we asked to diagnose this vehicle we were only asked to install the parts the customer providedThe customer was advised at pick up that other issues were the cause of the unresolved concernsWhen the vehicle returned for the evaluation of noise and vibration complaints, the customer was advised that the parts he purchased for us to install had drastically changed the suspension geometry to such a degree that he would need to inquire with his parts provider about additional parts required by their company to resolve the issueThe customer did not supply us with a complete lift kit but rather a partial kit to minimize his monies spentThis compromised the results creating additional problems the customer was not happy with which is unfortunateThe customer then ordered and provided one additional part to eliminate one noise but not all of the parts to properly repair all of the noise and vibration as per recommended on the "Rough Country" websiteWe installed two new rear universal joints in the rear driveshaft in an effort to minimize his concerns since he did not provide a complete and correct kit and/or partsSince the customer diagnosed, requested installation and very specifically did not provide us with compete and correct parts, we do not find that he is eligible for compensationOur company goes to great lengths to stand behind our work when (WE) provide the correct parts and diagnosisWe do not and cannot warranty incorrect self diagnosis or incorrect/ incomplete aftermarket parts provided by any customerWe regret the customer chose to pursue this method of repair for his vehicle
