Daughtry Heating & Air Conditioning Services

I had Daughtry put in a new HVAC a few years back. I have had nothing but problems out of it from the initial install with it breaking down every year and sometimes twice a year. When shopping for a new unit, Daughtry convinced me that he had very few problems out of the [redacted] units he installed. Daughtry also said he would take care of any warranty issues and Daughtry is listed on the warranty as the company to call for service. I bought a parts and labor 10 year warranty on the system fortunately. However, I can not get Daughtry to return my calls any longer when it breaks down now. The last two repairs, I have had to pay out of pocket because I can not get anyone to honor the warranty and I can not get Daughtry to honor his commitment to servicing the unit. The first out of pocket repair was due to a previous repair in which the compressor was replaced. The technician who did the repair said the wiring burnt in two because it had poor connections from the installation of the replaced compressor which was performed by Daughtry. The latest repair replaced a capacitor and the technician said that someone, (Daughtry), had added two additional hard start capacitors which was not normal and someone must have been trying to work around a problem. These two additional capacitors could have caused the wires to burn in two because of the additional power sent to the compressor at start up. I am very unhappy that a new unit would have to have been rigged and repaired so many times since installation and now the company who sold and installed it will no longer work on it. I would not recommend Daughtry for any type of AC installation or repair. ","neg-1
