After reviewing this case with *** *** and the mechanic who worked with the claimant and her vehicle, Dave Gill Chevrolet offered to replace the vehicle's alternator at no charge to the claimantThe claimant accepted this offer and the additional repairs to the vehicle have been
performed.Although the vehicle did need a fuel pump and we felt it was a necessary repair, we made a mistake and did not completely and properly diagnose the claimant's primary concern with her vehicleWe truly regret that happened and want to assure the claimant that we absolutely do not take advantage of unknowledgeable customersThat is not how we conduct businessIn this case, we made a mistake and suffered some communication gaps among our own staff membersWe pride ourselves in standing behind our work, which is why we fixed the claimant's vehicle at no chargeWe sincerely hope that this addresses the claimant's concerns and we apologize for our shortcomings in this case

We regret that this customer felt that we took advantage of her. We called to follow-up and she brought her vehicle to our dealership for re-inspection on 3/12/15. As she requested, we greased her parking brake cable in an attempt to fix the problem. Unfortunately it did not fix...
her problem. She needs to have a new brake cable installed. For her inconvenience and as a goodwill gesture to make a frustrating situation better, we have offered to replace her parking brake cable free of charge. This service is scheduled for Monday 3/16/15. We sincerely hope that this satisfies the customer’s concerns.
