Review: It started off when they did our original inspection. The owner [redacted] gave us a list of things that needed fixed which was pretty simple, front rotors and brakes, four tires and windshield wipers. But the price was so high we decided to do the work ourselves. When completed we took the vehicle to a different mechanic for the inspection since it was closer and all work was completed. The new mechanic gave us a list of things that needed fixed. WOW MORE WORK? So we called Dave and Keiths and they informed us that the other mechanic was swindling us and that the work did not need done. So we left the 2nd mechanic and took the car back to Dave and Keiths who was given a list from the other mechanic with everything that needed fixed and the price they quoted for the work. Dave and Keiths then proceeded to call us back once the car was looked at and informed us that it does need more work and it would cost another $500+ dollars, which is nearly exactly what the other mechanic had quoted us for the same work. At this point we were somewhat upset that he did not find these problems the first time but we said go ahead and get it done (thinking he was going to fix everything the other mechanic said needed fixed). He completed nearly none of this work and ignored the inspection report from the other mechanic. Of course he did fix other problems that he found and billed me for those, a hefty bill I might add totaling over $500.00 for not even having fixed what it was brought in there for. The vehicle is still in such bad condition it should not be passed for inspection and needs the work done, but what do you know, Dave and Keiths Service Center DID put an inspection sticker on anyway, billed me for work that did not need done, and did not complete work that NEEDED done. I am totally disgusted by what I have witnessed from this business and hope that others never have to go through so much trouble with getting something of such importance fixed.Desired Settlement: I am reporting this so that others do not fall into this same trap and have to pay so much more than expected for work that was never even completed. I hope that this information finds the right person and that they go under review for their business ethics, failing to fix items before slapping an inspection sticker on a car as well as other things. The customer in question brought the vehicle to our facility for a repair and we were asked to look it over for Inspection as well. They were informed that the vehicle needed a good bit of repairs but the customer did not have the funds to cover all of the repairs needed. They did what they could to the vehicle and brought it back for the remainder of the work. We financed the work and repairs for the customers, and after they got the vehicle they were conveniently not happy with the work that was done, saying that another shop said we compromised the alignment on the vehicle after the work was done, which is false. I spoke with the other shop manager, and he assured me that he nor his employees ever told the woman that Dave and Keith compromised the alignment of the vehicle. So this customer, and I might ad, she is a brand new customer, was playing to two shops against each other with lies and false accusations. We are a respected and established business in this community being here for over 30 years and we do not take advantage of anyone. It was obvious by looking the vehicle over that it was not maintained on a regular basis, so naturally some repairs are going to be needed at some point in time. This customer just wasn't happy or prepared with any funds being put into the vehicle. So we went out on a limb and financed over half of the bill for the customer, which was almost $300. The car is far from being unsafe, as it has had a bunch of things done to get it to a level of being ready for the road. We don't INSPECT vehicles that are not safe for the road as the customer stated. We find this convenient for the customer to make these claims knowing the bill has not been satisfied and paid off yet At this point we are not going to pursue the rest of the payment due to our business, but we will no longer lend financing or credit to a new customer or someone who has not established a trusting relationship with our establishment
